I prefer old Orisa

I might be the minority in this, but I prefer old Orisa than the rework they did for Overwatch 2.

I understand why they did the rework they did, but it still doesn’t stop me from preferring the old version. I miss the shield, I miss Supercharger and I miss Halt. They never should have made her crit to headshots during fortify though. That was stupid.

Orisa was actually one of the first heroes I ever played back in 2018 when I started the game. Mei & Ana being the other two.

I do want to make it clear though, I do not miss the synergy with Sigma. At all. But I feel Sigma was more the issue than Orisa and he should have been dealt with back then but never was. Orisa just needed Fortify nerfs imo but a decent shield.

I just feel like new Orisa is still absolutely awful to play against with Fortify needing to be really strong but now she has lots of really strong CC abilities on top as well.

But yeah, that’s just me :man_shrugging:

I mean both got nerfs. The reason orisa got reworked and sigma didn’t was just because people didn’t like playing orisa whereas a lot of people didn’t really mind playing sigma since he’s a lot more fun.

Orisa had halt and halt was really fun and creative but also busted so it made sense. She just needs further tweaks to be a more fun hero. Make her more active with the javelin spin and spear and less of a wall with fortify that just sits there and lives

Old Orisa was a great hero, probably the best post launch hero ever released. She was sacrificed because of Sigma, who is far worse for the game than original Orisa.

I even liked her original fortify with the movement speed decrease, since it felt like you gained something at a cost.

I feel that. Supercharger was one of my favorite Ults in the entire game. I really felt the team synergy when I used it. RIP Supercharger :headstone:

I do like the spear rework in OW2 thou. I wouldnt mind keep that if Orisa got reverted.

I like new Orisa more… Old Orisa felt way more static, and the double shield was cursed. And her pull was completely useless most of the time, plus very clunky to use. And to the enemy it also felt like yet another ability that ping pongs you across the map.
The drum ult was boring, it was basically a tiny mercy damage boosting from one spot.

Same here, I find ow2 orisa fun, and ow1 orisa to be very boring. Rarely ever played her, and only did so when stuck in orisa jail during double barrier. Sitting back spamming all game wasnt my idea of a fun tank. But now being able to get aggressive instead of passive, I enjoy it much more. Plus spear is a great satisfying ability.
