My Team getting taken out by the enemy behind us.
Always ping upon death. Especially if killed by someone in a different location to the rest of them.
Waiting a second, you can ping the location of an invisible sombra too when she’s translocated.
Pinging the widow that kills you, can save the rest of the team from her.
Too few people actually ping. So many times i would have been saved if people would ping flankers.
It just tells me I am respawning if I try to ping after I die.
I pinged BEFORE I died AND After
I’m glad you did. Too few people do. So hold onto that habit.
Sounds like your settings are off… for me it pings the location of my killer. You need to ping before you death spectate anyone and it should work.
Don’t know what’s broken if it doesn’t.
The game has too much visual clutter so they probably won’t see it anyway. lol.
3 of my team mates are spamming hello somewhere so of course i need HANDS littering my screen.
did u get this fixed i have the same problem,it used to work tho
It never worked for me to be honest. I am on console, that might have something to do with it. I did not even notice the other reply about the settings, I will need to try it. Albeit, I also watch the kill cam. Not sure if that influences it as well… Very confusing.
Teammates not responding to pings is one of the most frustrating things in the game for me.
This makes sense, but shouldn’t your team know there’s a threat without the ping already? Like…you just died. There’s obviously something over there. They see your icon greyed out. And using the action tracker and the death noise essentially pings for you… I think not enough people use those either though
Ping belongs in League of Legends, imagine negating evade tactics and sneaking of a person because of a silly system.
You mean like coms, which predate the ping system?
Ping doesn’t belong in OW, outside of the non target ping.
That’s a compelling argument…
Refer to originating post stating how it invalidates tactics.
Given how much the community loves flankers, particularly Sombra, and Widow, I’m sure everyone will agree with your proposal to make their lives easier.
And, again, coms are a thing. You’re advocating for worse communication tools and user interface to benefit the most hated characters. Good luck with that.
Those characters existed before the ping system
