Today I was playing in Blizzard world on ATTACK(<—keyword btw)and was doing very well as dps for my team. I was getting Ult quickly too and when I did I would inform my team’s Ana to Nano me so we could get a push. I would keep getting ult faster than anyone on my team and informing my Ana to nano boost since it would multiply my effectiveness. He had nano several times and wouldn’t even give me a chance once. I complain about it and this guy tells me he is just waiting to use it on people who are low on health so he can heal them. Its not even if anyone is in the proper position to be nanoed just due to the fact their are low on health. First off we are on ATTACK this isn’t the time to be using nano DEFENSIVLEY. I tell this dude yeah Nano is also really good for getting kills but he tells me I don’t know what I’m talking about except none of his nanos helped the team whatsoever. This is also the first time I am seeing him play ana because I had played with him before and he played nothing but tanks.
After that match ends I search for another comp game and he ends up on the other team. He further shows his lack of game sense where this time he is the enemy tank and I am supporting for my team. This guy allows his teamates to die to try and solo dive me as Winston which he fails at. He shows an even worse lack of competency in this match as a tank and makes it known he is only going to focus me. My team wins with ease because his lack of game sense and knowledge

I feel like the point of this post was to inform people that Nanoboost doesn’t have to be saved for dying teammates, and can secure fights, but it kind of just turned into a personal “attack” on a guy you didn’t like
Also, just because you’re on attack doesn’t mean that a defensive Ultimate won’t help or can’t work

I’ve seen plenty of players like him and it never fails to tick me off just slightly. Chances are he only listens to himself and everyone else is wrong. I wouldn’t be surprised if he doesn’t reach too high in the ranks, and gets constantly harassed by his teammates calling him out on his logic.

It didn’t help out. If you’re trying to say this was a “personal attack” then you’re missing the point. He never bothered to Nano his high peforming dps who was doing well despite having no nano. The point is that he waits all this time for an ult and it doesn’t do anything effective with it. Like I said none of his nanos were good and even in the next round HE took it personal enough to focus ME over helping his team which he most likely costed them the game for.
So exactly what did you set out to accomplish with your post? To just talk about how bad this one guy is you played with? I wasn’t trying to say “attack” as in you assaulted the dude or something serious, just in the sense that all you really do here is insult some anonymous player you don’t like.
You missed the point. My comment was a critique, I was trying to say that you don’t really do anything constructive here. I included the part about potentially having a message about the versatility of Nanoboost, hoping that you could end up turning this into something of a message about what a detriment holding it for too long could be. This could be a post to help aspiring Ana players, something that could impact your future games, and help people across the community, but you just… got angry.
Was that the point?

You sound like one of those people who think Bastion can’t be used on attack, no offense.

I love how many people do this. You notice how you overstep then you back track trying to turn my post into something else. Yes this post was to call out a bad player as they should be and to show his childish nature. This post wasn’t what you wanted it to be its what I made it about. If you want to make a post for ana mains then knock yourself out. This guy had no business playing ana and probably even a tank the round after. I am justified in my anger since this guy didn’t do what was right so yeah.
I didn’t overstep at all, you’re just talking trash on some guy. Notice “attack” in quotations because it was just the most concise word without adding two lines to my post, even if it wasn’t the most accurate. I didn’t try to turn your post into anything - You have a very pointless post here, and you almost have a thesis, so I was trying to give you advice on how to make a better post that could actually help situations like the one you were in, which you then ignored and doubled down on.
“This guy had no business playing ana”, yeah dude, he had no business playing the hero it seems like your team made him play (letting / telling the tank main to go Ana) in the video game he purchased. Better go make a post to trash talk him instead of trying to better handle / prevent situations like that in the future.
What “wasn’t right” about that situation was making the tank main play Ana, if you want a real critique. And what “wasn’t right” about your reaction was refusing to work with his strategy that he was clearly insisting on and flaming him when you’re meant to work together. “so yeah”.

Bro, the first paragraph is on point. But the second just talking about that guy that you pointed out. That’s what bubblewrap is talking about Insults on the guy. The last paragraph is just not necessary on this thread.

Not gonna lie but he was at least kinda right. Attack and defense don’t really dictate ultimate usage unless maybe it’s to help guarantee stagger kills (when you have spawn advantage, for example)

Both of you are kind of right. It’s all situational anyway.
Maybe there was a tank that was trying to feed that needed all the heals they could get to stay up and without them your successful dpsing wouldn’t have gone so great.
What were you playing that nano would have made so much better?
