I need help understanding my WinMTR results

Every 10ish minutes I get horrible packet loss and a ping spike that only lasts for a second or so and as of now I’ve only experienced this in ow2, following the advice of another forum post I ran a WinMTR test but am not quite sure what to look for, help would be greatly appreciated. (I’m also including a video that shows what I’m talking about)

I have also been getting similar problems when I play the game, it is quite bothersome. Hope this gets fixed next season.

It happens to me TOO, I’ve been periodically playing the game but still it’s so annoying whenever everyone in the lobby starts floating up mid-fight and suddenly snap back to where they were.

hope someone at blizzard sees this… this is a BIG problem that they don’t seem to be addressing. I have seen several people posting about this and no actual answers from Blizzard. disappointing…

It’s still an ongoing problem for me too. I actually filled out a technical support ticket about this issue and was essentially written off. They closed the ticket without giving anything other than a, “try these steps to fix your problem.” Of course, I already tried the steps and sent them every document in my initial ticket (which somehow comes off as them entirely ignoring that I did so?)

Anyway, this is still a big problem for me too. It would be nice if someone would come out and at least acknowledge they’re going to look into the issue. As it is right now, it’s incredibly frustrating that they don’t seem to care, or even notice that a portion of their users cannot play their game.

I posted in other threads; I had the same issue plaguing me and it (rightfully or not) appears to be a confluence of my ISPs IPv6 implementation and Blizzard servers. I don’t know the root cause or who owns the issue, but disabling IPv6 and rolling back to IPv4 solved the issue for me.

Original report post: Rubberbanding/Lag Issue Replication & Detailed Steps
Workaround solution post: [Solution/Workaround] Rubberbanding/Latency Spikes / Comcast

tl;dr: Try disabling IPv6 at your router and/or device and see if the performance improves. It is easy to toggle back and forth if it makes no difference for you.

Thank you! I’ll test this out later, in reference to your original post I also realized I only get the rubberbanding on NA servers.
