I miss WyomingMist

…please refrain from personal attacks on our forums. Thank you.

…‘think’…so it’s not confirmed, just assumption like I asked…?

I agree.
Its kinda ridiculous though how consistent they are about saying over and over “we promise to stay in touch more” and then to never say a peep. Jodie and Andy both said it multiple times for a week and then disappeared entirely.

Then they hire Wyoming who was always in threads, and suddenly Wyoming is also less active. I dont understand if they are not allowed to speak, or they just choose not to due to no more information.

Either way theyre going about it wrong. People feel more encouraged when the devs are active.

It is an assumption.

But I think it’s a weirder assumption to think the Matchmaker problems they had in Season 1 that the dev specifically said were caused by a lack of Support players, just magically disappeared.

And has nothing to do with the current Matchmaker problem we have now.

And that it’s not possible for their to be a direct trade-off between Matchmaker Speed and Matchmaker Quality.

Also the reason the next 2 heroes are Support heroes has nothing to do with a lack of Support players.

And that Overwatch 1 had Matchmaker issues, due to a lack of Tanks
And that OW2 Season 1 had Matchmaker issues, due to a lack of Supports
But that OW2 Season 2 has even worse Matchmaker issues, and it has nothing to do with a lack of heroes in a specific role.

Hopefully Craig or someone from the team sees my post, and they add a Serbian hero in the roster, and make him a tank.

There is no war in Ba Sing Se, trust me- they let me out of my cage to post on the forums for THE FIRST TIME IN OVER A MONTH AND A HALF to reassure you that it’s not at all suspicious that I have ZERO VISIBLE ONLINE PRESENCE since OW2 launched

If you’re taking feedback, do you REALLY think it’s better to:

A. Never, ever, ever respond to feedback, ever, and make people wonder if you literally died

B. Reply to feedback with a simple “This feedback has been passed on to the team”

Which do you think is more effective in community managing? When you see 20 threads about how nobody likes map pools, what do you think is better: Ignoring them and people posting 20 more, or replying to them and saying “hey guys, we hear you on map pools, no promises but the feedback is noted”?

Serious question. Which is better? And why are you not doing it?

i miss wyomingmist’s pre-patch balance videos. always looked forward to them and they were very well done. use to highlight every hero adjustments then and before. wish we could have those again

For balancing elements, bugs, yes I do agree devs need to be updated.

But to be honest, most of the feedback on OW2 should be brought to top management on their decisions for the game. I believe devs do what is the best to the game they love, but they are forced to follow what top management dictates bluntly. They are the ones that should receive the actual feedback in addition to their figures reports.

I don’t know, he seemed pretty scared to say “I was wrong”, even though it was the thing he should’ve been saying the most

WE MISS YOU CRAIG! go slay at blizz hq tho! We cheer you on ok!

It just shows how much screwed up the things are out there.

The lack of actual communication on here feels really bad. Especially when you guys have started using automated posts :frowning:

I’ve been playing Overwatch for about 2 years and I’ve seen the team promise “more communication” 6 times.

Also it’s weird hearing the Forums are looked at for feedback after we we were told that the Forums are biased and always negative directly from a Blizzard employee.

The simple truth is more communication needs to be given. Not just empty promises.

… I’m sure you mean this… But I gotta say… this whole “we’re excited for” format has been made pretty meaningless by the creator community and devs.

I am super glad you’re finding your work fulfilling and interesting though. I know it was a big goal for you.

Yeah it doesnt feel great constantly seeing devs say “We’re excited!”

bro WE aren’t, can you pass some of that excitement onto us?

My god some of you are so weird the guys a community manager for blizz let him do his job y’all don’t gotta be posting weird things about him being silenced or how come he’s not answering you… Jesus

it does make sense if you work at blizzard lol you get paid regardless the performance of your work they’re billion company afterall

Thats good! I hope they listen to you!

The laundry list.

  • Ability for PC players to turn OFF cross play.
  • Regional server selection within the game.
  • Audio reverted back to 2018
  • Infliction /Afflicition animations around the screen need to be removed.
  • Game needs to cost 40 per copy.
  • Skins and events need to be awarded for playing 9 wins again.
  • No more PAYWALL /grindwall unlockable heroes (#1 penalty of this game)
  • Phasing out Stacker abuse.
  • QOL Reticle color change hot-key.
  • Tickrate should be adjusted to PC players, NOT console networks.
  • Skins should not be more than .50 cents per skin.

Having an Overwatch-forum Con. … jk ha ha, that would probably NOT be a good idea. It might turn into WWE.

The fact that some think he is some knight in shining armor that will change Blizzard is hilarious.

you never know. he could be waiting to push Koticik off the throne and take over the company. I mean I think it would be great to see Bobby OUT of there.

Tell the devs that they have amazing game in its core but they really need to start listening to the community, i dont mean balance patches now.

I mean mainly QOL changes

switching weapons skins between hero skins
giving more comp rewards
make diamond weapons or something
create new arcade mode by blizz every month
let us put new charms at all heroes at once
dont kick us from the game when enemy team leaves after 5 minutes without potg and victory screen

just a few examples from our hundrets of wishes.

Its killing me that they could have absolutely killer hyped game competing with warzone and fortnite easily but they just dont want it, they are also missing out a LOT of income,

Sincerely 5k+ hours overwatch player who plays since ow1 launch when i bought collectors edition and fell in love, its painful to see such a massive potential wasted again and again

Can you please tell them to remove crit from Sojourns railgun outside of ult. For the love of God just remove it. She’s so far beyond broken, can’t be balanced while she can still (effectively) 1 tap the entire squishie roster yet we’re tiptoeing around the issue…

She’s basically a S76 who can use helix whenever she hits a few shots. Except helix is hitscan and can crit along with her having better mobility and a far superior ult. It’s absolutely ridiculous that we’re now almost in February and she’s still a must pick…
