I love seeing people hacking and not hiding it

love how the hackers are grouped with people and my own team doesnt believe someone who only hits headshot and never misses (watched replay and all that) is cheating

It’s getting out of hand. Not one instance of hacking should be tolerated yet every couple games some sojourn on a brand new account is going 50-1 with more damage than both teams combined

And for some reason these threads never get traction on here. Fishy

Usually because the forums regularly get spammed by certain members who think there is 2+ cheaters in every single game, the entire game is rigged to guarantee losses or wins at given times via modifying in game variables on the fly, blizzard is selling cheats to people, and more.

Actual realistic discussion about cheats gets lost and people start to tune it out.

Not only that but it’s highly unlikely any of it is getting to the people who matter, I.E. the people running the game. We are a black hole they toss unsatisfied customers to.

Its genuinely sad we cant have reasonable discussions about things like the matchmaker.

Whether or not it reaches developers ears is not what I mean. The PLAYERS here don’t seem to care (or realize?) that there are cheaters in the game.

Maybe they are surrendered to the fact? Or don’t realize? Maybe they don’t watch kill cams or check score boards…? Or maybe there are users here who are cheaters that don’t want to engage in the discussion?

At any rate it is very frustrating when you’re trying your hardest on controller only to see the enemy sojourn or Ashe is mouse flicking and tap strafing, head shooting every single shot e.e

And sadly there is definitely a way Blizzard could solve the problem but why would they cut off a chunk of their player base? We know how they feel about their players. :wastebasket:

We’re all aware there are cheaters. We highly disagree on how many but we all know that like every single multiplayer online game ever, there are cheaters.

A concern I don’t really have but I understand. I did read something a bit ago about them definitively stating it was against the rules and they were implementing detection tools… but it seems that either hasn’t happened or wasn’t implemented well.

And what is that?

Game developers everywhere, even the ones only concerned about money, hate cheaters. Cheaters make people stop playing. When people stop playing the game dies and they make less money. They aren’t benefiting from the cheaters in anything other than a raw accounts made ever #. They may not be doing it right, or enough, but this isn’t something I can’t imagine any publisher or developer actively supporting.

I imagine Blizzard could implement some sort of aim speed regulator.

The aiming on mouse is insanely fast compared to controller even with controller sensitivities turned to max. You simply cannot look around as quickly with a controller, as you can with a mouse.

Some sort of system that detects when aim is accelerated way beyond the limit a console allows for could then flag that player for using unauthorized equipment.

Just a thought idk, it’s so unfun to deal with

I bet. Do you know if any other console shooters have that sort of blocking?

I think most people mistake good aim for aimbotting.

The amount of sojourns with autorail is pathetic

(Hack where the hack checks if rail is available with enough damage to kill based on enemy health and if the cross hair is on their head or body, and automatically activates the shot for you)

So you have all these sojourns running around flawlessly pulling off rails mid primary fire with high consistency (who of course end up going 47-4 most games and with a mercy pocket it’s gg)

It’s “Cheating” and not Hacker. They are massive difference btw those two.

Not to mention when you ask them for replay codes they get defensive and start attacking you and calling you a Blizzard shill. Asking for evidence is frowned upon because you should just blindly believe it and never ask for evidence.

Or… because evidence is reported under witch hunting and gives a temp ban. I fell into this trap once before.

Better questions:

Why are there so many people defending hackers in overwatch?

Why are there so many people defending Blizzard after all the horrible things that have come to light against them?

Where does the cheating stop? Do they cheat on their spouses? Do they commit real crimes? Where do cheaters draw the line exactly?

So Blizzard still catering to the cheaters Lol

Thats bad. Last time I played OW was in Januari and then the chetaers made the game almost unplayable

It would be extremely easy to make it much harder for cheaters by demanding IDs from all users. But sadly Blizzard dont care

Who on here defends cheaters? Who? Post a topic “who here defends cheaters” and see how many people will say they do. Not a single person on here defends cheaters. Every time someone posted a replay code with an actual cheater people reported. I know I did, every single time.

This is why people are “press X to doubt” when you post a topic about having a cheater in your game. You want to accuse people and get them banned without posting evidence and you get offended when asked to provide replay codes. People get tilted in game when they get outplayed or there is a smurf and then they want to get them banned for cheating. No one is going to believe your words that someone is cheating if you do not provide evidence or you do but the person in question is actually not cheating. And you call that defending cheaters. No ones word is sacred. It is like cheating on your gf/bf and you get caught and say “do you believe me or your eyes”? Yeah I believe you honey, f my eyes they are deceiving me.

god forbid anyone actually know when to do that themself right? nahh has to be scripting not learned behavior

Too bad it’s a popular cheat. You’d be surprised how much better a machine is at tracking the current energy and enemy HP values in the middle of the human being shooting- and muscle memory doesn’t matter, spread can and will cause you to miss projectile shots no matter what and so will strafing. So it’s no a reflex, it’s more of a person just getting a loosely accurate feel for “how many shots did I just hit and does that hp look smart enough”.

Auto rail is unfortunately widespread and extremely hard to catch due to how regular it can look. Replays make it super obvious though…
