But the moment you actually start pocketing someone on live servers or on latter people get triggered and upset. What’s Wrong guys? I’m playing her the way she’s intended to be played apparently.
I can only play her a bit as a pocket, if not much healing is needed by other team members. Otherwise I don’t have time to pocket, because I constantly switch healing targets + a damage boost here and there.
People want to be pocketed, or they only like want the enemy mercy to heal less
Its the same reason that people say that tanks/supports are too strong and then complain about queue times
its hard to explain… people just want to nerf the red team
She has the ability to be the best pocket in the game. But unless the person you are pocketing is god, your essentially forcing a 6v5 since your about as useless as Sombra.
I’d attest Mercy’s rep to bad Mercy’s who did just that and received the hate that comes to a support that isn’t healing their team.
She’s only really a viable pocket with another main healer on her team. Or her team are capable of using health packs
Me pocketed = good. Enemy McCree pocketed = BAD BAD BAD! STOP THAT!
Pocketing a teammate throughout the whole match isn’t the same as mercy players like animetic and dinnik, knowing when to “pocket”.
The hero is basically useless for healing compared to other supports, she is the only healer that can always provide a dmg boost.
I do not really need a pocket. I just want to be topped off now and again. That is about it. I do not want Mercy pocketing tanks. There are better healers for that… Like almost all of them. Including Zen.
That’s pretty much what it boils down to.
People want their team’s Barriers to be unbreakable, their heals to infinite, but want the enemy’s Barriers to be made out of glass, the enemy’s Supports to be free kills, etc.
The problem is, that type of “balance” will never work, in a PVP based game
