Does anybody else think it’s kind of weird how you aren’t allowed to be a fan of the game on the official forum for the game.
Can anybody name another game where this is the case?

you are allowed to like it, its just most of the older players would rather like overwatch 1 back bc it was taken away from them for this sloppy mess that has the audacity to call itself the sequel

The only person I know who gets flagged for their “like” of OW is Garret and they’re very obviously baiting people.
Maybe Roly? Cause they spam a lot.

Can’t name one because I’m not on any others, but I assume it’s the same almost everywhere. People generally only visit forums to complain, if they enjoy the game they’re busy playing it.
Generally, not always. Obviously. Though I agree these forums seem worse than other ones I’ve seen in the past.

I also love Overwatch 2 and would argue that it’s better than Overwatch 1, of course there are some issues but in general it’s a way better game.

Your free to like whatever you please, I’ll never knock someone for that.
Just also try and understand that most of us who rail against the current game come from a place of missing a game that was taken from us without a great deal of us every asking for it to happen.
It’s not anything your doing by simply liking the game. Blizzard is the issue.

Overwatch 2 isn’t garbage, it’s just worse than what we were used to. Overwatch 1 set such a high standard and Blizzard tends snowball downhill with most their products over time. New players do not know how good things used to be.

Ow1 was a better game overall. I happen to like the gameplay of Ow2 better. I have far more hours on this Ow2 account than my old ow1 account. Like, far far more.
I won’t dispute that Ow1 was a better overall game tho. 2 is, in a myriad of ways, an exploitation of what 1 was.
At least you can choose not to financially support Ow2 and still play. Thats what I do, I just happen to enjoy the actual gameplay a lot more. So I’ve played it a lot more
