I know what's wrong with OW2: its boring!

Overwatch 1 was liked because it was fun, bold, and fresh. This talk of “people only liked it because they didn’t know how the game worked” is nonsense because gamers can always tell a bad game from a good game. In reality, people liked OW1 because it was a good game. It was fun! Meanwile, OW2 is safe and boring!

Every character has to be a shooter guy. Damage, Supports, and Tanks. We can’t have another Rein because that guy has to be Mauga. WE can’t have another Mercy because she has to be Juno. We can’t have a new Genji because he has to be Soldier 76. I mean new Bastion. I mean Sojourn! Although the Damage players got a unique character in Venture, but they’re the exception to the rule (and likely a way to try and appease old doom players).

They have to shoot first and do all of their abilities as a secondary thing other others will complain.

It makes for a more balanced game, but a much more boring game. Meanwhile, I had a match of Overwatch classic right now where I was one of four Roadhogs. And you know what? The enemy team kept up with us really well with Torb, Sym, Monkey, Mei, Hanzo and Reinhardt. It was fun and unconventional. What happened to that?

I think there’s a reason people here hate all the new modes they added to OW2. Clash, Push, Flashpoint, all hated. Because they’re boring! There’s no real spark to them for most. I actually like push, but the other to modes are like “Okay, I’m playing FP or Clash”. I just don’t feel it. Meanwhile, I was happy to get into 2CP and play Hanamura even with that damn wall.

Why? Because it was FUN! I had FUN most of the time.

The lack of generalists really did make OW classic much more fun. Everyone was wholly unique and purpose built for the job.

none of this kirko crap where they have invulnerabilities and headshot multipliers and teleporting.
