Has it seemed particularly bad the last few weeks to anyone else? I know it is usually pretty bad, but it has nosedived in ways I didn’t even think were possible. Almost like they are intentionally putting together the most lopsided teams they can. Its been at least 50 games in a row now where my team is sub-bronze against diamond or higher.
I figure the player pool is dropping but why would that make qp more imbalanced than it already was?
If you saw a drop in one of the roles, to make the roles more unbalanced than they already were, you would see a drop in game quality.
Maybe we can put on our hopeful hats and it is a bunch of returning players, who suck now because they are out of practice.
Hm ya know I have had healing queues very high lately. Though still I wonder why its lopsided rather than just worse healing all around. Oddly I would say I have seen more top tier healers carrying on the enemy team than anything else.
People stop playing, match making still has to make queues pop as quickly as it can, needs to widen MMR range, forces terrible match ups causing lower quality matches, drop in match quality causes people to stop playing.
This loop is one of overwatch’s biggest issues.

Yet I was just in a game against 4300 players as a master? And there were 4200 players on my team against 2200 players on their team. Imagine being Blizzard and thinking that a 2200 player is at the same skill level as a 4300 player. You can’t help these people
You guys are finally experiencing what we’ve been forced to deal with for years as GM, horrible QP matchmaking, the less players there are the worse it gets.
I remember people on the forums telling me “It’s just QP” when I told them I had someone 2000SR below me in my team in QP.
QP matchmaking is all over the place, you have 1000pt differences all the time.
My post was really because I have never seen this level of bad play from people on my team so consistently. I think maybe it’s just that I am getting matched with actual new players and also happen to be in an all too common loss streak.
I did finally have TWO good games (even losing one but it felt balanced) so maybe I can get some more good games but for now I am taking my 1 satisfying win.
