So train of thought goes like this:
Devs stated there were no enought tank players.
There were not enought tanks so we got to 5v5
There are still not enought tank players in 5v5
OQ still has average 2/3 tank players
So isnt Open Queue proof that having a tank shortage has always been a problem of balance and there will always be enought tanks whenever they dont feel like crap to play? Just like in OQ?

It’s just DPS players wanting a higher health pool and cc’s, so they choose an OW2 tank while in Open queue. Old OW1 had two tanks and cc’s for everyone, so few wanted to tank in an environment where they could get melted while perma-stunned.
Even if this is true, doesnt it still aply? If tanks feel good to play, just like now not being in an environment being perma cc’d… Wouldnt those players still play tank in 6v6 as well?
Not with the new DPS passive melting tanks while their supports helplessly watch. Perhaps Cauterize being lowered from a 20% to 15% heal nerf might change things, but we will soon see.
BTW, I do play 6v6 OW2 via private matches, and the action does not feel very different from 5v5. I would welcome 6v6 returning as an arcade mode, but it should not replace the 5v5 standard since that may extend QP queue wait times once more.
Yeah this definitely applies to tanks feeling like crap to play.
