It seems that Aaron has have finally acknowledged that rivals has been putting alot of pressure on the dev team. But i feel like if overwatch would have been listening to the playerbase more from the very beginning then the decline in players would not have been nearly this bad. So many unkept promises. So many gameplay issues that the community could complain about as a whole and not get acknowledged at all.
Im sure barely anyone will agree with me here and im personally not very good as ive never been able to make it past gm 4. And stayed stuck in high masters. But i talk to players who are way better then me and feel exactly how i do
If they were truly worried about the game they would finally sit down and work on Match making in Overwatch.
I want to cheer-on and support overwatch but they have not made it easy to want to buy anything from the game because they show that they have a poor attitude towards the community.
Its the “you put up with our bad choices or leave” attitude. Which is not good for the game.
Overwatch can be a good game. but they dont want to tackle the most difficult of problem. Which is match organization.
When a player is not doing well. they should not continue to place them against strong teams.
When a player is starting to do well. They should very very slowly adjust that player upwards.
When a player first logs in for the day. it should not always be a backfill

Everything about match making has been about turning off players to the game and not allowing players to practice or grow into Overwatch anymore.
I don’t think many people would argue against the idea that the devs ignoring feedback from the community (at all levels of play) is a huge frustration.
Yes, things are bad. But hoping that the game dies out is a bit…odd. Wouldn’t you rather they make it better, even if it is late?
thats blizzards MO though, ignore the playerbase and continue to add features blizz wants and not add anything they said they would add or anything the players want then when the player count hits rock bottom pretend to be listening so try and bring them back
