Havent touched the game in months but i am curious how’s the ban system and who gets banned the most

Aha, so I see you have a Sombra pfp.

Idk what your most played heroes actually are, but Sombra has a very high ban rate. Lots of players hate facing her so it makes sense.

General consensus seems to be that bans are a good addition. It’ll provide a good pressure valve for players who are fed up with a specific hero, be it because they’re overpowered (like Sojourn) or annoying (like Sombra) and the release will give valuable data to blizzard about the trends.

I use it because i like the look. i stopped playing sombra when she got her rework years ago because it was unfun to play against and i didn’t wanna subject my enemies to it. i actually main reaper if you look at my profile

I main reaper so actually… that sounds like heaven.
and it seems like my predictions on who gets banned the most was correct, except for ball, ig cuz from the team’s POV he doesn’t do anything but be annoying

Overall census is a generally positive addition.

Positive response when you ban OP heroes (like Sojourn).

Mixed response regarding a lot of bans because they don’t seem to be strategic, but rather a way for them to send a message to Blizzard about “we don’t like this hero, rework them”. Particularly for Sombra, Mercy, Doomfist…even Moira.

Most teams/ranks that ban Sombra, neglect that Ball is more rampant when one of his counters is missing. Higher ranks are banning both because they know one without the other is a bad time.

nah it’s the opposite. people don’t ban him because he’s useless but because of those times where it really is a ball otp…things get out of hand without sombra.
