If you were playing toxic and kept ganking the same person over and over on the other team. Chances are you were reported for abusive chat as the other player taking it out on you for being toxic.
Since everything else doesn’t work for reporting, except abusive chat. That is what more people are resorting to.
What aren’t you telling us? Do you run up and t-bag people? Type ? in chat if someone fails an attack? Spam obnoxious voice lines?
I’ve been playing since OW1 season 2 and I’m not a perfect angel, but I’ve never gotten actioned in any manner.
Unless you’re some famous streamer getting reported for luls, you probably aren’t as innocent as you think you are. Almost without fail when someone makes a topic like this, the truth comes out and it ain’t in their favor.
If you’re really curious do a GDPR request for your data and it’ll show you what reports you get and when you got them.
Edit: Telling people to swap is nasty even if phrased as a question. Asking them to collaborate with you on another hero is better. People will play what they want to play, sometimes you take the L for it.
When you already got action’d you are put on a watchlist that tracks how many reports/actions you have accumulated.
So if someone doesn’t like you because you stomped them in a match, they can report you for abusive chat. Get enough and an action will happen and since it tracks everything after you’re on the watchlist, false reports can trigger disciplinary actions even though you didn’t do anything.
I feel like this is more proof that little to no human intervention is involved with these reports. So what happened is because you committed the heinous sin of playing the game, other players reported you under this category and enough of them piled up to make the system think you are in fact the bad guy that needs to be punished. The assumption is that everyone who reports you is the good guy and their report is in every way valid so therefore if you get enough, you’re obviously the bad guy. In OW you don’t have to type in chat to be reported for typing in chat. I know makes sense right? Players do this because they know it works. Any thing you do in the game that they don’t like will be used as an excuse to report you. They weaponize the reporting system because its the only way they can further attack you for not playing in their approved way. In reality, a mass multitude of players who falsely report players should in fact be the ones banned from the game. But since nothing is done to deter this kind of behavior, and nothing is done to prevent players from wrongfully reporting you, this will continue to be abused until the end of time.
They can’t really help you with your question because they don’t know why you received the warning, they can only try to justify it by searching for obvious pointers.
Those 20 people who could actually analyze it will probably not deal with your request. Your request would not even reach them. Because

Community is awful, the most toxic players and soft throwers are always lvl 5 endorsements, never anything done against them but they know how to abuse report system
