It’s not fun staring at someone for 4 and a half seconds while they’re attacking you.
She should either have only 1 self bubble (that has similar time to using 2 bubbles) or she shouldn’t be able to attack while using the bubble.
I’m not talking about it as a matter of balance. She just feels annoying to play against and is a snowball hero and i don’t find that fun. The thing is that she doesn’t really feel fun to play as either.
Zarya has always been one of my favourite tanks to play as.
If she wastes both bubbles on herself immediately, you shoot at her team until the bubbles are gone. After that you melt her.
It’s a bad zarya play to use both bubbles on oneself unless she’s the only one touching the point.
Bubbles are better used on diving teammates, like an ulting genji or reaper.
Saving a teammate that gets hooked out of position, or to help teammates that get ulted or dived on.
You don’t hate her design, you hate her overtuned state in order to make her viable as a solo tank.
There was a time where she had one, and only one, bubble for herself. Her design is great, she just exists in a game she doesn’t fit in anymore.
unfortunately 5 people attacking her doesnt make any sense to most people, so most times im the only 1 attacking her.
I know i played OW1. That’s why i suggested it.
It is not fun, but it is kind of fun-ny.
I kinda understand that. Saving teammates that are in a pickle is fun.
Buut other parts of her feels generic to me. Kinda lika S76 but he has a beam gun thingy instead : D
She’s always been more fun to use bubbles on teammates. Always thought it was kind of stupid that people can still shoot when there’s a bubble around them but that’s nitpicking.
The only major hit Zarya needs is a greater loss of charge speed. If she actually needed to manage her charge, she wouldn’t be so lame to play into.
It’s fine to be generic when you have an ability that saves a teammate’s life on a 10 second cooldown.
Timing those bubbles right is where most of her skill comes from, and getting them right can be gamechanging.
I still remember the day when it clicked for me, how the charging mechanic worked. It was almost like someone had switched the lights on and she became my favourite tank to play in that instant. (Dva and the reworked orisa are up there too)
THIS. Please, this is all they need to do. If you’re going to be immortal, you shouldn’t be able to shoot. They did it with Reaper, they can do it for everybody else.
I mean if it didn’t wouldn’t it be kinda useless? It’d be like a friendly player inducing a stun on you
Like imagine Cass pops high noon, he locks in 4 skulls and then Zarya bubbles him and everyone goes back into cover
She was in ow1 when she used to bubble others now selfish zars only bubble themselves
I never understood about that with shields in ow, I prefer shields like Gibraltar in apex it protects you but you can’t also dmg, if we had shields like that in ow it would have been great
Shields should be like temporary cover
If Zarya immediately dumps both bubbles on herself then she has a long period of downtime before her next bubble comes up. If Zarya’s doing that to initiate every fight, it can (and will) be capitalised upon.
Chose one you can’t play both dva and zarya it’s against tos of using toki.
People who do that are banned from dva club membership are not invited to parties, Doritos are charged more etc.
Oh I know for gameplay reasons it has to be that way but it’s always bothered me. Same reason why I can’t stand the way queen holds her shotgun. It doesn’t look right. She’d have to give up her knife to use both hands but I wouldn’t mind it.

People still bubble others. I do prefer zarya, dva and orisa so that it’s easier for me to peel for my team.
Good thing i don’t like going to parties XD
I’ll have a quiet teatime with ana instead, whom i saved from flankers by bubbling her from the other end of the map.
