I HATE Widowmaker in gm

This hero is so disgustingly anti-fun with dive being useless right now.
It’s just who has the better Widowmaker wins. Being sniped across the map with absolutely nothing you can do about it, it’s horrible.
Can we revert the buffs she got please? It’s ridiculous.
“It takes skill” So do a lot of things in this game and they can be prevented.

Yeah, as a fellow gm, I can concur that it is frustrating as heck, but I feel she is in a very balanced spot. Just gotta watch that LoS.

She’s already an anti-fun headache in my rank, I can only imagine the terror she inflicts in GM

That’s why you run a Widowmaker of your own. If you can’t, then well you’re just going to have to play behind your shield tank, aren’t you? Tracer still works in this meta too, despite what everyone says. She can still put pressure onto the Widowmaker, at least distracting her so she can’t get picks on the rest of your team.

Do you really think in reality people can shuffle behind a shield all game?
Widow is the strongest hero in this game and always has been since day 1 due to her having no counters apart from another widow.

You said she has had no counters other than another Widowmaker. Yet earlier you said she has become stronger due to the lack of dive compositions this season. So… does running dive make a difference or not? Does it counter her or no?

I dont think widow is OP, but she sure as hell is unfun to go against when the player is real good.

That is a little premature. The forum meta hasn’t landed yet. Note I am not speaking of the game’s meta, but the forum’s. The hive mind hasn’t decided what has suddenly become overpowered this week, now that they got the Brig nerfs they so desperately clawed at. Give it time, my money is on CC in general. At least that’s the way the wind is blowing currently.

Tracer can take her out. She has the mobility to run her down and blast her in the face. Fast. And there’s also Hanzo. If he sees her (follow the bullet trail), he can head shot her, or use 2 of his Storm arrows on her, leaving plenty for every other character.

so if someone is a problem in the 1% of the game and that’s again only if the player playing her is a god at her lets take out our pitchforks and torches and nerf her to the ground most of us can’t even hit body shots and have below 40% accuracy.

Widow is a hard one to balance, because if you nerf her too hard, she becomes worthless in lower ranks, but if she’s buffed too much, she’s OP in GM.

At the moment, I think she’s okay. Sure, she’s irritating, but again, play with sight lines, or, if possible, counter Widow. Or even run D.Va, sure you can’t have a full dive, but D.Va is still quite powerful and good at diving the Widow all by herself (or with a Mercy or Zen healing pocket.)

Don’t worry, in a matter of months the low-mid ranked forum users will mindlessly mimic the behavior and thoughts of others, leading to a snowball effect and the vocal minority will become so loud they have no choice but to nerf her. You know, the same thing that happened to Tracer!

I mean, it IS true that the only reliable “counter” to a high grade Widow is another high grade Widow. She needs to stay as she is right now 100% though, her damage and lack of having to be anywhere near the nonsense that’s happening right now is the only reason this meta isn’t worse than the beginning of the Mercy meta, at least in the upper tiers.
