I hate payload maps

Basically if you lost 1st point - means your team is garbage and it’s over already

This mentality is in every single one of my games and I hate it. We lost one point so what? Maybe they just got a lucky pick, maybe they surprised us with their comp, maybe we need to attack them from a different angle.

But no, every game as soon as the first push is lost ‘DPS ARE TRASH SWITCH OFF IM THROWING YOU ALL SUCK’ and every time that happens we proceed to lose.

Even if you win at last point - you lost two. So it’s 2-1. Still bad game

I tend to do better when defending a payload rather than a point…

if you are running around with that mentality you are never gonna improve. The enemy team outsmarted you or abused your teams mistake or even possibly yours and got first point but does that mean you lost no. you still got a long chance of winning

No, that means they had a decent attack, but that is more than winnable.

Even if you a 20% chance to win if you keep trying, that’s TONS better than the guaranteed loss of tilting and giving up. You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take.

Payload is the most balanced mode 2cp is cancer

in 2cp you have two equally balanced encounters. First favors attack, second favors defense. It’s actually okay. Payload is 3 trash points with last favors defense - means if you won last defense points it’s only because balance is on your side, skill doesnt matter

Give me a payload over 2cp any day. Last week my team got absolutely crushed on the first two points of dorado, they pushed all the way to the last inch of the final point with 6+ minutes left on the clock. We held it there for about 3 minutes in a bloody battle, then pushed it all the way back to the start of the 3rd point and held it there for the rest of the game.

Nothing balanced in 2 cp and if you have 1 idiot in your team to make 1 mistake you lose first point. Atleast in payload you can carry…

Payload is always either the first or the last point.

This mentality confuses me so much. Games where you hold a payload map on the first point is a much more unlikely result. Most games are won by holding the second point or even going into overtime on the final point.

Even if they get all 3 all you got to do is cap the 3rd point yourself.

I once had a match on Hanamura that went to 7-8 (we won, woot woot). It ain’t over until the fat lady disguised as Roadhog sings.

Too many fair weathered players in this game.

Every map is different. Some points or sections of certain maps are better for one side than the other. 2cp, first point is almost always to the advantage of the attackers, and the 2nd point is always for the defenders.

Control is the best because it’s ALWAYS equal for both sides and every map has several ways to attack the point. Except in OWL but that doesn’t affect us.

Payload maps are the best imo.
-Both the attackers and the defenders have a far spawn before a point is earned.
-Enemy progress is reversable for defenders.
-They’re long enough that you get a decent amount of tries before the round ends.
