I had two one tricks on my comp team. We won

This is probably a different experience than lot’s of people have, but I wanted to share something positive.

The map was Hanamura, and we started on attack. We got a Genji, so I proceeded to pick my favorite hero on that map(big boi Winston).

Then I lowered my music’s volume, and when I got back, we had a Symmetra and a Torb. The other DPS started complaining, so I said he should play DPS, and I could solo tank.

We got out of spawn with Rein, Junkrat, Symm, Torb, Zen and Mercy. We lost the first fight hard(I mean really hard). Our Symm was good with the alt fire, so we got a shield gen relatively quickly.

I got a Shatter on the first minute, and the enemy team(that was defending with Orisa Hog Junk Widow Symm Mercy) wasn’t ready for a Rein with 650 health on their face.

Junk got a pick (Widow), and we got in, capping the point with 1 minutes on clock. We had 5 minutes to cap second. Here, the comp wasn’t working that great, we ended up capping half of the point, mostly due to mine triple kill with Primal Rage, while the the enemies were running from the Molten Core.

The defense was beautiful, though. We had Soldier Ana and Zen. I played Orisa, and the enemy wasn’t ready at all.

They tried triple tank, which failed mainly because Ana got a huge anti nade, and I halted to get the kills.

They tried dive, but diving the turret was a bad idea, we managed to destroy the mech, and Torb alt erased Winston.

They tried quad tank in the last minute, but we had all our ults. Ana ulted on me, and I ulted. Nano Orisa with Supercharger is worse than a Bastion. Didn’t went well for them.

It’s a wall of text, I think, but what I’m trying to say is that, although it’s very annoying, you have to make an effort to not lose the game before it starts.
On attack I kinda carried, but on defense, I was mostly carried. So, don’t tilt, try your best, and enjoy your time, you might even learn something (I learned from the Symm. Instead of using teleporter as soon as it was ready, the Symm held it as long as possible, predicting where they were going and placing the TP safely).

Good luck on your games! :cactus:

Damn… I am lost for words. Ya know what? Good for you sir. Absolutely well done for not tilting and somehow managing to win.

Why do people act like if they have one tricks on their team they’re going to lose almost every time?

I think one tricks more or less win and lose about as much as anyone else who on average switches heroes every now and then. If they’re not “fun” to play with, then it’s on Blizzard to fix that as long as it’s allowed to happen in-game.

Thank you :sunny::smile:

Very nice
I agree that one tricks are annoying, but some people look like they’re just looking for an excuse(on this case, the Symm and Torb) to throw or be toxic with people.
Nice handling of the situation :+1:
