Adults have the same responses and behaviors, it’s really no different.
We as the “morally right” are just taught from a young age to hyperfocus on the what instead of the why, when the why is takeaway and the what is the most useless. But we can pretend or justify a sense of self-superiority if we can claim that what they are saying is immoral. When someone who swears when frustrated is more honest/healthier than someone who postures that his behavior is inappropriate.
And this is why I report now everyone typing “GG” after they win.
I got suspended for a month for spamming voice lines in spawn.
Why do I know this? I haven’t played OW since OW2, and so my endorsement was at 1, meaning I couldn’t join VC or use text chat. I’m a GM player and always do my best and don’t troll cause I’m highly competitive.
So spamming voice lines can be the only reason.
I already knew blizzard was killing the game, but the reports are just borderline insane atm.
It’s better to just not say anything, ever, including anything positive.
Precisely. That doesn’t mean there isn’t the odd individual whose suspensions/bans are highly questionable - and that doesn’t mean I 100% trust Overwatch’s report system (especially in the case of permabans, which should be doled out ONLY after human verification of reports/behavior warranting permas) - but usually by the third or fourth reply from the OP I can tell if they are that aforementioned odd individual who should have their account action looked at more closely - or if they are, as you say, full of it.
In OP’s case, as much as I understand “donkey” isn’t the worst insult you could toss out there (heck, Gordon Ramsay has used that insult at least twice during the TV series Hell’s Kitchen"), I’m leaning towards the latter.
I love that the mod closed that thread but said ‘nope it was because you were just namecalling in all your games.’ After the OP basically outed themselves several posts in.
I feel its often a case of people thinking ‘correlation = causation’. People get actioned and try to think of the last thing they think they did wrong.
Really OP should contact CS for clarification, because one instance of anything besides cheating will rarely resuly in a suspension or a mute.
And I’d have continued to take you as seriously as I do anyone else if you weren’t resorting to insults to challenge my confidence to somehow feel like you’ve proven your point. Good day.
The PEGI 13+ rating on it is just there in order to milk the kids and their parents, nothing more. Their targted audience always was, is and always will be 18+ players, because those are the ones they make the most money out of.
There’s very little actual PEGI 13+ worthy in this game. 99% of the stuff in this game is PEGI 18+, but since it looks cartoon’ish, they get away with it.
Factually wrong.
It’s all done automatically. 5 reports triggers the first warning. Then the next five triggers the first temp suspension etc. That’s why you can get a warning after just one game, if the entire enemy team players mass report you. The only time it takes more than one match is if it’s your own team reporting you, as you’ll need to play two matches to get the first warning, if you’re toxic towards your own team.
This has even been tested and tried multiple times over by others.
It’s very easy to get suspended and banned as well due to how poorly thought out the automated report system is.
I’ve been suspended for 2 hours once for apparently being ‘toxic in chat’ even when i had all chats turned off. See, people will report you for the silliest things, such as T-bagging or simply for being better. They’ll just use the top category as it’s easiest to get to and click continue twice, job’s done, and since there’s no human interaction between the reports and the AI, it gets out of control real fast, and that’s where we’re at right now.
Not saying there aren’t people who doesn’t deserve their bans, because there definitely are plenty of them out there, but at the same time, there’s a lot of people who did nothing to deserve their bans, as well.
