I only use turret when enemy is using ultimates or when there is a barrier in front of me.

From what I’m hearing, you were rightfully blamed for poor plays but it’s never justified to encourage toxicity so no they shouldn’t have insulted you

I don’t like to play Bastion’s turret mode because it feels not fair or like you don’t require any skills to play him so I chose to play without using turret to give everyone a fair feeling in the game. So should I stop playing with Bastion?

By limiting yourself you aren’t being fair to your teammates. It doesn’t really matter who you play, you should play to win. Also, while Bastion’s turret form might seem incredibly unfair, it really isn’t.
Why don’t you try soldier?
Play him using his turret more, get the hang of using it in more risky positions and being mindful of when to switch between the two modes
Managing when to be in turret mode is really important when playing him, he can shred enemy teams when used right, but when you neglect the strongest part of his kit you’re throwing regardless of if you’re doing it to give the opposing team a fighting chance
If you feel as though using it is unfair, then play someone else who you can use to their maximum potential without being too ‘unfair’, cos it’s unfair to your team if you want to be ‘fair’ and play Bastion wrong

An insult isn’t justified but I’d be pretty annoyed with you, not to say that you should sit in turret all game long but there is some give and take with the ability, you are using it too little in my opinion even though what you do is try to stay safe, just be a bit more risky about it
consider the damage coming from you is insane so in a lot of match ups you can win even if you’re not 100% safe
(I would prefer a bastion who moves a lot as opposed to one who sits in turret all game long but extremes are never good)
Back when Symmetra’s ultimate was Shield Generator, I would consistently argue that it was the most broken ultimate in the game for a lot of reasons that doesn’t matter to the current state of the game.
I would still place it every time I charged my ultimate because I wanted to win.
There is no such thing as taking game balance on your own hands. If you consider a certain hero unbalanced and unfair, it’s your prerogative to not play them. Beyond that, you can only offer feedback to Blizzard and hope they fix it in the future.
Especially, because if any of the other 11 players pick the hero you consider unfair, they will use them to their fullest, no matter how much you argue that it’s unfair.
(That is also why it’s never on the players that a certain hero or map is unbalanced. Any balance issue is 100% on the devs)

I read a lot of people sayin that not goin turret is wrong and you helped enemy win are so wrong.
Bastion imho have to reposition himself a lot, so is mandatory that a lot of time you’re in recon mode.
And 90% of times goin in turret mode is like committing seppuku, so don’t listen to anyone.
Find your way to play him and if you have fun good for you.
But remember to report who insulted you,
and if someone complain because you play Bastion he cannot be more than silver who don’t know how to counter him and think he can be played only in turret mode.
