I genuinely think the devs are inadequate

the game was the best state it had ever been in people were playing every role myself included, everyone seemed to be enjoying the hero bans for the most part. you could play dive rein felt good and every hero seemed playable. so why would you take the game in such a good state, and just ruin it. i have not met a single person that likes two main supports banned. and you banned rein but only banned 1dps that no one plays, so there are a bunch of oppressive dps all in the game at the same time playing against tanks that got nerfed out of existence and the only thing that can heal them because burst healing is pretty much gone. idk the game just seems so un fun right now. we are seeing double shield all over again and some trash dive play. i just dont understand how you could think players would enjoy this.

Ruined it with 222.
Ruined it more with Map Pools.
Buried it in the ground with Hero Bans.

Three of the worst, most oppressive changes this game has ever seen in a row.

A lot of people wanted 2-2-2.
Map pools is decent.
And, people wanted the meta to change. We got something that will constantly change the meta which is something people wanted.

gave us some hope with 1-3-2 but then trashed it and came up with the worst ban…

i was enjoying this game (because of 1-3-2) and was actualy fun playing support again! now they ban 2 of the best healers… yeah… good job blizzard… first fix the stupidity then maybe (but still no) you can have bans (NO!)

if you’d ban 2 DPS nobody would give 1 flying fudgenugget! now you ban the best tank (i never play rein but i like playing as his 2nd tank) and take away 1/3 of the healers… then you ban 1 DPS nobody is playing ATM???

screw you! this game is in the worst state in it’s history!

Good state lolmao. OW stopped being a good game once Brig was launched and It will never be good again thanks to the wonderfully fuzzy butterflies at Blizz HQ who come up with incredibly unique and cancerous ideas every 3 months or so.

they are trying to decide if mercy needs buffs…(in my opinion she does), same for baptiste. just relax and let them run some tests

Almost like people you talk to often are usually going to have similar opinions with you. Doesn’t really ratify your claim.

I’ve not met anyone who doesn’t like Hero Van’s apart from a few crybaby healer mains on the forums.

And for that they are testing it in a temporary setup that is forced by the removal of 2/3 of the main healers and the strongest main tank. Sounds like a great plan.

Ask any pro and they’ll disagree with you. Hero bans are an artificial way to try and force heroes diversity (by the way diversity does not equal good metas). It also destroys competitive stability, allowing sheit teams to sometimes surprise good teams do to bullshizzle heroes being used.

All of this, hero bans and 2-2-2, could have been avoided if only Blizzard would not be afraid to balance in a way that actually brings the highest skill and least cancerous heroes to the forefront of the game. After the launch of Brig they’ve had no clue what do or are just afraid to do what is right.

This statement right here shows me you don’t actually care about balance and think "skilled heros(Which is entirely subjective by the way) should be the best heros in the game at all times.

Says someone who has literally no idea what any of the pros opinions are on the topic. And I guarantee not any pro would disagree with me. I guarantee there are pros that will agree with me.

They’re fored to force hero diversity because you people are to big of wusses to play non meta comps because you’re to afraid of losing your ohhh so precious SR.

Blizzard went the right way with this 100%
Shut the hell up and adapt you meta slaving wuss

I like how you’re so afraid of outting yourself via posting on your main that you have an account just for forum posting.
Absolutely pathetic.

We have lost about everything that made the game great when it launched. No one on redit, no one i played with, and not one person ive played with is enjoying the game.

Sad when even the pros make videos saying how bad its gotten.

This was largely self-inflicted by streamers and the wider community of their followers.

nah, when brig came out the was the worst change ever.

Well I guess I’ll explain these points a bit more in depth. For starters the reason why I use an account that’s lvl 1 to negate all arguments of authority from me personally. I don’t want to go throwing around my rank and say I’m correct, because there are a ton of retards even at the highest of ranks. I’m trying to argue with ideas which is the actual way to debate.

I’m def not a meta slave, because I quit competing in this game after Sombra Doom became meta right before GOATs. I despise sheitty metas that make the game bland and mildly infuriating. Doom Sombra, Mei Reaper Bunker, Double shield etc. (GOATs as well but that’s mostly because I believe every role should be in play). As I stated before a good meta is one in which the highest skilled and least cancerous heroes are played. Why is this the best meta?

  1. When the highest skill cap heroes are in play (Tracer, Winston, Ana etc.) it allows for the greatest gap between player performances to show. This means that there will be a few players who take a hero to an extreme level of mastery (SBB on Tracer, Gesture on Winston, Jjonak on Ana). This also means that actually putting more effort into learning a hero over the oppisition actually gives you gains in game. The highest skill cap heroes are also the heroes that don’t revolve around idiotic abilities that just make the game less fun and competitive for everyone involved. Finally a lot of the highest skill cap heroes are the most mechanically demanding ones.
  2. The highest skill cap heroes are usually far more enjoyable to play. There is no projectile pro who’d rather be stuck playing Mei over Genji or Pharah, or a support playing Moira over Ana or Zen. Having to do more to be good and challenging yourself is what makes the highest skill cap heroes in OW the best ones to play.
  3. The highest skill cap heroes are usually funner to watch, because you can see when someone is better than another player (point 1) and the game play is usually more exciting.
  4. The team comps usually require skill and are the least boring when they’re made up of purely high skill heroes. I don’t know a single t3-t2 team that would rather one trick double shield over dive or classic deathball.

Now lets talk about forced hero pools, which are complete retardation at it’s finest.

  1. Hero pools and forced diversity do not make for good metas because it does not help OW’s piss poor balance which is what has made the this game a shell of it’s former self
  2. Stability is key to allow for a good esport. This is do to the fact that time allows the best teams to pop up and become the benchmark for other teams. When you’re constantly forced to switch up there is a chance that during one week the best team just happens to face a team that is only better at playing one meta comp, but because that is the only playable one do to hero bans means that the best team is now dealt a rather undeserving loss. Also the best team can adapt the best argument is bullshizzle.
  3. It makes for random gameplay and a horrid viewing experience. Nothing is fun when it is chaotic. Imagine if football’s rules were changed every week. It would like a damn mess. This is what has already happened in the OWL. The Boston vs. Houston (last week or two weeks ago maybe) match is the worst abomination of a competitive game that I have ever seen.
  4. It’s not about adapting. For top tier player adapting is honestly quite easy. It’s not hard to go from playing Genji and Pharah onto an easier hero like Mei or Reaper. The point is many top tier pros hate having to play boring heroes that just make the game unfun.

Finally attacking a person personally showcases that you are fairly week at the arguing game. Debates are about the ideas and substance being presented and what you’ve brought to the table is amazingly retarded.

I like the 2-2-2 but I had a break, so I don’t really remember how it was before. So I cant make a fair comparison.

Map pool is the worst. All maps should be played but some can have lower % in each season. But we need more variation than what we have now.

Hero pools started good and this week is total crap. I’m not having any fun matches so far. Hero pools might work if they actually stick to 1-2-1. Or just 0-2-0.

I wish they would do some polling or something asking the players what they actually think on each of these topics.

Come on, this two support ban is for one week. If you don’t like it, play other modes or PUGs for a week.

One of the best & well thought posts I’ve seen so far on the recent changes imho. Can’t agree more.

It feels like playing a different game every day now with chaos.

Blizzard know they have to change things to bring future to that game, with some strong competition coming on the horizon (Riot) and are stressed about bringing $ in. They are testing a lot, but I feel that in reality they don’t really know where to go, the game is hard to fix by the way it is now designed.

Also, they say they want to help with Q time improvements, so why ban 2 supports from such a limited roster? This puts more pressure on the already congested DPS pipe as some players will feel too restricted in support. Again that’s how I see it, might be wrong.

I’ll come back for the next rotation and see, but I’m already done for this week.

Agreed. I think the devs are book smart, but little to no common sense. They over think it to the point it becomes retarded. They don’t care, they are justified in their eyes so nothing wont change.

They nerf heroes, then introduce OP heroes, then nerf heroes then make other heroes OP - Then decide to ban heroes, but not their matching counter parts. Now winston runs around freely, healing is trash - just sad.

Forced to play PUBG for a week now.

Two two two was actually perfect and a necessary change this game needed.

Sigmas op release to create a double shield that was unbreakable killed the game for almost five months.
