Play tank. it’s an overpowered babied class that’s just “fat dps” that no one wants to play apparently.

What rank and region are you in?

In eu it was 11 am or earlier, so less people were playing.

Rank division also matters, as the metal ranks (silver, gold, plat) have more players than the master, gm and champion ranks do.

I can understand the annoyance.
In gold europe the longest queue times i’ve seen was 5 minutes on a weekday before midday.
After afternoon, it’s usually 1 minute on each
