I dont want a year of Rein/Zarya

Please devs, dont let this be another double shield or GOATS that lasts over a year, you need to balance your game right away

Im not saying to nerf rein/zarya (I actually dont want that), maybe buff some other tanks to compete?

Revert the Rein armor buff?
Nerf other parts of his kit?
Nerf Zarya again?
Buff the other Tanks?
Nerf other Heroes?

Reinhardt is frustrating but its whatever. I’ve been really getting frustrated with Zarya lately (though that’s mainly because stupid teammates always charge her up without thinking and then she walks into our team and kills everyone because nobody worries about her)

Rein will be meta until they nerf shatter or add a barrier that can block it more reliably

rein is fine imo they should give a small nerf to either bap or cree and then dive will be more viable. Echo dive comps run circles around rein bc he has nothing to swing at, but they’re kept out of the meta by the immortality field + peacekeeper combo

You know what would be nice instead?

A Winston meta, every other tank has been included in some form of meta since dive, all except Winston, honestly miss the guy

Yea, winston is one of the only tanks I like fighting, he doest have insane dmg

ah yes like the game was any different before
(these examples are if rein Zarya were literally the worst tanks in the game)
tank go winston the team has no clue how to play with him
tank goes orisa gets ran over by rein because the team won’t rotate properly
tanks dont have a shield team just keeps getting picked off because no one knows how to use cover

It won’t change if blizzard dont educate the player base

except the game was different before, nobody wants to play tank because the only tanks that havent been absolutely gutted are zarya and rein

buff the other tanks, dont nerf the current ones

Winston zarya is meta, but lower and middle elo will always gravitate to rein zarya no matter what. I genuinely don’t think you can change that without completely breaking the game in GM like double shield, and even THEN lower ranks played rein zar more

Also the only issue I have with this meta is having McCree and immortality every game. Otherwise it’s actually one of the healthiest metas we’ve had in a while

im pointing out that the player base is also an issue when people bring this up
roadhog, winston, zarya, dva, sigma are all balanced imo
I think rein needs reverted but shatter duration reverted for compensation (I think he was perfectly balanced like this)
orisa is genuinely in need of help I think they should put her shield back up to 900

what they really need to do is just overall nerfs to hitscan except soldier “what about widow she is bad” no she isn’t but if they give her 200 health back in turn for making her grapple break when she takes damage ill be happy with that

if they get rid of this hitscan burst meta by nerfing the problematic hitscans aswell as hanzo and echo the tanking issue will fix I think

I’m tired, pocketed Rein is free synergy for his team, I’m ok if they nerf his barrier at this point.

agreed but the uproar from dps and support players would be huge
I love playing with and against dva its so much more fun then Zarya
but sadly the dps and support bias is real
