Gone through like 4 iterations of talking about new hero design seemingly being immune to the Season 9 TTK changes, but I give up.
Just, someone let me know how we’re going to make a character that two shot body shots squishies and is a very good tank buster balanced yeah?
Take away her two shot body shots and she doesnt really contribute to much outside of tank busting which is neat and all but I dont see that exactly making her a staple pick.
Let her keep it though and I just dont get why we think this high spam 2 shotter will make the game more fun to play. People are already dead tired of being exploded by every tank in the game plus Sojourn, so I dont get why we think the reaction will be any healthier to a character whose entire gimmick is exploding you, especially once the mastery curve for her settles in and everyone understands how to best make use and aim with her.
I dont know Im just sensing another balance nightmare thats cursed to be nerfed into irrelevance or kept strong to the detriment of everyone elses enjoyment.
How long will burst be the only meaningful way to deal damage in this game?
When they nerf sustain, thus bringing about more variety.

Well… we all know the devs are allergic to nerfing healing, so i don’t know when or if that’ll ever happen either.

It’s not just the healing. It’s also the bloated HP of tanks in particular.
You have two options Nerf Healing and sojourn , This will Raise the potential of the whole DPS cast and lower sojourn level to match the rest or We buff the whole DPS roster to combat the Healing and never touch healing numbers again.
You also missed nuking abilities like Suzu, Lamp, and Grip.

Its an obvious nerf healing, Soj, and a lot of tanks damage potential if we want to keep season 9.
If we dont then screw raising the rest of the DPS cast up, just remove season 9 and we’ll see the same result. Never shouldve been added in the first place. Want to combat surprise burst kills? Maybe shouldve started with never adding Kiri and Illari who get to make it so theres no trade off for having an offensive support, and enabling a team of 5 one shotters.

They did that just because they removed one tank.
They could have a little less hp, but if nerfed too far, their cooldowns will need to be shorter to keep them alive again (since many of them refuse to stand behind a wall for 2 seconds to be healed).
There are a lot of small tweaks that could make things feel better, but the devs seem to be allergic to those too…

I think they need to Add major Drawbacks to immo abilities and make it so Healing can miss in exchange you can slighly increase the healing numbers of said auto tracking heal characters, Also make AOE healing much lower then Direct Healing Eg Baptise Healing Nade should do more healing on direct and lower on Aoe.
Either way whatever we say falls on Deaf Ears, We forget Most if not All the Devs play Support and the perks have proven the bias.
I’ve Given up on playing DPS characters without Consistent Burst as in my ELO QP feels like new Ranked and after losing 2-3 games you feel forced to go hitscan just to win in a supposed Chill mode.
Small tweaks, such as reducing Tank hero model sizes by like 10%. You would hardly be able to tell the difference visually, and it would be functional.
Look at WL. Bro’s got 275 HP, all because he’s a giant. Does he really need to be that big? I think not.
Make the petals not be part of his hitbox and bring him to 250. Those are what makes him so big.
If the devs walked back the bullet sice changes from season 9, they could crank up the dps passive back to 20%
Low skill players would barely feel it and die regardless because of bad positioning, but high ranks would need to be more careful and would find the game more challenging.

The bullet size Changes was the most BS change I have ever witnessed in a Game.
Let’s make it so all the Hitscan can HS more consistenly without actually aiming at the head
Who The hell thought of this idea.

No one who actually plays shooters above silver (hero shooters or traditional ones)
