I dont like the game anymore due to 222

I don’t know in what world you played this game, but this scenario happened very rarely to me. 3 dps yeah, a bit , but 4? That’s super rare.

because DPS players want to play DPS. The DPS queue times, realistically, aren’t long enough to make DPS mains want to play other roles they’re uncomfortable with just to play DPS quicker.

By the time you complete enough tank/support games to become “high priority”, you could have done another 2-3 DPS games.

Yeah they do, and they’re keep adding new content. I usually only have to wait 3 minutes or even less for a match

were you on the forums when Mercy was reworked? history is repeating itself.

People complained non stop about hating the rework and wanting her to be reverted (still happens from time to time now). the developers stood their ground though.

Those are not comparable dude. You can’t compare a rage from Mercy OTPs/Mains because their hero was breaking the game (because thats what Mass Ress was) with a System that literally destroys or severs one of the 3 pillars the game was built on.

Also, just because some people rage about things, that means people raging is always wrong? Nah, thats a false equivalency mate. Dont do it, because its a fallacy.

Yeah I’m a support main and I hated the idea from the start. Just because I prefer support does not mean that I want to sit in a game not being able to flex into a role that’s lacking.

You may not have been playing Overwatch long. When the game was released, the idea was that changing your teamcomp and being flexible would help your team to win. Now it’s basically “WELL NEITHER OF OUR DPS IS PLAYING HITSCAN AGAINST PHARMACY, GUESS WE JUST LOSE”

I mean God forbid we actually have 3 DPS or 3 tanks for a portion of the game. Unwinnable if that were ever to happen!!!111

I know Apex did the trick for some people.
S4 league was a pretty nice replacement for me.

another pointless comment.

“waaah dps mains i main something else therefore im superior”

Outside of ow I play osu. However that is not a fps so it might not suit your taste. I also recently started playing quake.

I think they should make it preferred role que instead so you can be locked in the beginning only, leaving room for changes to be made cross-role. At least that makes competitive salvageable when your dps only plays Genji. (No offense to Genji-mains, just people wishing they could master him<3)

The real joke is in-game, where I’m playing DPS Moira, as this role queue intended, and I get crybaby DPS “I had to wait 8 minutes for THIS??”

Uh, yup. Working as intended.

You playing DPS moira is literally the reason they’re pissed. Moira is a HEALER. Do your job.

Good lord!!!

Seek professional help, soon…

ah yes it was breaking the game even though it was in the game since beta and throughout the first successful year of Overwatch.

it was not breaking the game, which is why it was underpowered in the high ranks. if you truly think it was “breaking the game”, then you have to be low ranked. mass rez caused havoc at lower ranks because they don’t have enough game sense to realise they need to kill the mercy or play around it.

I don’t really know what makes you the linguistic arbiter of OW tho. It is pretty well understood that “toxic” has come to mean something far beyond what is purely communicative.

I have heard PLENTY of people refer to a tank that switches to dps when they are losing and throws as toxic. I’ve heard ANY throwing refered to as toxic as well. Anyways, adressing the misnomer instead of the behavior, which is more clearly problematic, is misdirection worthy of a magician.

Congratulations on being absolutely wrong on this one buddy, and specially because of a semantic misinterpretation, which is even worse

“breaking the game” doesnt mean that it was creating “rendering device lost errors” and dropping people off the game, ok?. Game breaking means it was a broken skill creating UNEVEN distributions of skill and IT HAS BEEN PROVEN (yeah, look it up buddy) that during those months (because Mass Ress with invul was not there that much) many Mercy OTPS exploited the performance based SR and went up 2-3 ranks.

I wasnt back there and its not a matter of rank pal, please get your facts straight before posting, otherwise it gets embarrassing.

The devs literally stated that it was “game breaking” and decided not only to not go back on the change but to make a REWORK. If a developer does a REWORK on something, you clearly know there was something veeeeery very wrong with that thing that had to be reworked.

Again, this are facts. Look them up.

You have somewhat of a point, except that my solution is not aimed at helping dps mains, it’s aimed at lowering dps q times overall. If we are able to filter a lot of the dps mains into other roles q times will certainly drop. And giving priority to winners in tank/support will reward these people for helping to lower q times.

Also you are assuming that it would take multiple games for them to get one win which in theory should not be the case. If they are placed properly in their off roles, dps players should have around a 50% chance of winning each match which means that on average it should take at most 2 games to get a win.

so far in beta comp 2\2\2 has been amazing. no need to worry “who gonna heal… who gonna tank…” yea sometimes the other roles in your team aren’t the best but it’s not the end of the world and i’ll take bad dps than 5 dps almost any day.
