i honestly have no idea what to do. Decent comp games are too few and far between. Had a couple of good games this evening to come back and play 3 games tonight just to get some guy that states he is throwing because he didn’t get lucio and intentionally waited out the time before leaving so the game wouldn’t automatically back out. The next game another player just ran directly into the enemy team blatantly, never fired, just sprinted directly into the enemy team. The last game was an actual full comp game but seemed like our team was so outclassed by the opposing team we stood no chance. On defense they just walked through us like they were skipping through a field of daisies, on attack they basically just pushed us to spawn. I want to enjoy this game, but man game after game dumb sh** like this happens and it just kills all the fun that’s remotely left. Nobody apparently uses voice chat even though they all appear to be in there other than some dude eating food, breathing on an open mic, or doing ‘sweet b*ng rips’ in the mic “cuz i’m so high, right now bruh”.
oh look its one of these threads
Weird it’s like “oh look it’s one of those things” like it happens enough it’s clearly a problem but let’s pretend it’s not haha. A bet you hear domestic violence next door and are just like “not my problem” and walk away, lmao.
the only problem here is your attitude
you have to go on the forums to whine about ur matches lmao
Okay, what is your constructive feed back?
improve on your own game so you dont have to worry what your team is doing
complaining doesnt help anyone
How does improving my game prevent or mitigate what I have described above exactly?
Your mmr will increase and you will be put in better games. Also are you really asking how playing better yourself will mitigate the badness of ur teammates? It’s kinda like if ur co-workers are slow you will still get done faster if you work faster.
That’s way easier said than done, apparently. But that doesn’t mitigate/prevent that just because you pick up the slack for a single person doesn’t mean the team as a whole doesn’t still suffer. What is the common saying that contradicts your claim? “You’re only strong as your weakest link.” Well when you weakest link commits ritualistic suicide off the map or the, and I quote, “I only play lucio if I don’t get lucio I am quitting.” At that point 1 person is holding the game hostage, lol.
Ok report avoid and play two more games while trying your darndest to win
wait for role que like most of the community and just practice.
I guess that’s what I’ll have to do. Haha, it’s getting to the point where I think I only come back to subconsciously punish myself, lmao.
There’s literally nothing you can do other than to report, avoid as teammate, and move on. I know that isn’t the answer you want, but it is what it is. People that behave like that have issues that started well before Overwatch and will continue long after. Going on the forums to rant at this point won’t avail much, other than some catharsis.
Best thing you can do is to try not to tilt so that it doesn’t affect your mindset going into subsequent matches. Right or wrong, remember that you stand as much chance to benefit from throwers, leavers, etc as you do being hurt by them. Best of luck on the climb.
Queue with friends or use LFG. I have had success lately with LFG. I don’t expect the team to be perfect when using LFG; I simply want everyone to have a mic.
what can you do? join them and throw as well, the game encourages it.
@DrinkyCrow PREACH! I hate how everybody just latches on to Blizzard to defend this 14 billion dollar company like WE’RE the jerks for being frustrated with their products, when WE’RE the ones who made them rich in the first place! And that’s not a ‘waa waa waa i hate blizzard’, it’s a legitimate critique of the game: people playing competitive just don’t care.
This guy only talks crap on everyone. You’re wasting your brain communicating with him. He’s all over the forums saying the same thing to a lot of people.
