At this point I’d just be glad they’re paying her some attention instead of pretending she doesn’t exist.
At least bad changes could open the door to implementing good changes. Better than her stagnating even further.

“Then you are lost!”
me looking at infinite tp nerf: there’s no way they’re going to dig her back out if this hole without giving back old 3.0 tp cast frequency or a complete re design of her kit.
and since they’re apparently so adamant about infinite tp the way it is despite how blatantly bad it is, that’s just wishful thinking
You can literally keep almost everything and move her across. And interweave the new aspects into the 3.0 kits to fit nicely. Like having a heal secondary fire that is affected by the primary ramp up AND an ult that buffs symmetra while also being a useful support ult to not feel useless. LIKE THIS
Ahh… Once again the classic narrative of wrongly and unfairly blaming Symmetra 3.0’s blatantly numerically underpowered state onto the hero’s rework rather than on the game’s balance itself…
I’m sorry, but that frustrating and “low skill = high reward” mess of a situational hero never worked and that’s exactly why she was rightfully reworked so many years ago…
Maybe you’d like to read the sentence or two before that, rather than taking one quote out of context:
Can she be numerically good? yeah! But Blizzard has actively prevented her from being so. Is that a fault of the rework? Maybe, maybe not. Blizzard may feel that certain aspects of her current iteration should prevent her from being anything but numerically weak at the risk of her feeling oppressive or overbearing. Their balancing history with her sure seems to line up with that idea.
And, what’s worth pointing out, even when she did change numerically to become actually good, she still wasn’t top DPS. Not even close. At a point, you do need to just call a spade a spade. Symmetra as a DPS hasn’t been good. Even when she was “good,” she wasn’t actually too good–she was honestly fairly average. Realistically, yes, it’s a flaw of 3.0 and how Blizzard has and is treating her because of that iteration. So, unless you’re prepared to do some hardcore convincing to persuade Blizzard (and the community as well) to shift their view on how Symmetra should be balanced WRT to her current iteration, then the better option is to rework her.
This is certainly a very plausible scenario, as it has also been happening, fairly or unfairly, to other heroes as well for years now.
The entire logic of this thread unfortunately fails because, plain and simple, Symmetra 3.0 has arguably never been numerically balanced during her life time.
Despite one or two very minor balance changes, 3.0 only received a simple bug fix out of anything else and still managed to become one of the top DPS (of course the fact that she has never been the top DPS doesn’t in any way invalidate the entire hero, as it’s also true with all other characters as well).
Therefore, if just a bug fix was able to propel Symmetra, for once in the entire game’s history, to one of the top spots, just imagine how much potential of the 3.0 kit is unfairly wasted due to how numerically underpowered the hero is, even in the context of Double Shield comps as well (which still happen to be a very prominent META).
Better a support than a crappy dps that blizz doesnt care for… heck she was meta for a week and got butcher down to f tier while genji is going out of control.
Ooh imagine if she had two sets of turrets - ones that heal and ones that damage.
