I challenge you

Seeing as we have a new home here, I feel it is necessary to keep things nice and positive for as long as possible. So I’m going to give you guys a challenge you may remember. This challenge does. Not. End. Ever.

I challenge you to enjoy your life to the fullest, enjoy every second of it, to be happy and don’t let anyone bring you down!

Oh, look! Another unoriginal positivisty thread!

What could the reason be this time? Is it because the only place you feel like you can spread said positivity is through an anonymous thread directed to people playing a video game? Or is it because you feel that you’re superior to more self centered individuals that you automatically identify them as such and assume that none of us are having great days because of this stimulus you seem to associate us to (which could be completely untrue to say the least)?

Could it be that the only time in your life that you can have a “great day” is if you get a promotion at work or actually have something to celebrate for when you should be satisfied with being alive every day instead: that challenging us to have a “great day” is somehow going to spread positivity when every day after that should, in actuality, be rendered as equal?

Because quite frankly, these are the vibes I get form posts like these.

Edit: Accepting roasts back if you have any since I don’t need said post in the first place to live my life.

Oh look, another hater who wants to try to ruin everyone’s day and will fail. You say this is unoriginal, but it’s not. I did the exact same thing on forums 1.0 with out taking ideas from anyone. You ask the reason for this positive thread. My answer is this: why not? You need a reason to be a mad and angry person, but you don’t really need one to be a happy person. I intend to make the world a better and happier place, and this seems like a good place to do it. After all, if I can bright up and cheer up as many people as I can in one of the most toxic places of the internet, then I’ve succeeded and started my journey to change the world.

Edit: I’m not telling you how to live your life, I’m offering you a challenge to do so. You don’t have to accept it if you don’t want to, and I respect that.

I may have failed the last one but i’m doing pretty good this time. I’m having stomach troubles and my day didn’t start out great but i’m in a pretty good mood. I challenge everyone here to the infinite good day challenge…to the death :smirk_cat:

I don’t think you’ve played a game other than Overwatch: or at least been on another forum.

Let’s take the Destiny 1 forums for example. The game’s app forums probably the cleanest forums I have ever seen up until they D-O-N-E Screwed it up with their update (similar to this).

Positivity threads are nothing original:

bungieneten-USForumsPost175843724?sort

bungienetStForumsPost63379798?sort=0&page=0

I found a third one, but it’s on the Destiny 2 forums and isn’t relevant. Might I add these were found in seconds of each other?

And good sir, if you can find a specific place in my original post where I ruined your day, please address it and I’ll take down my replies. I explained everything in full thoroughness within said comment.

If your defense to your thread is “why not,” then “why not” let others do as they wish? Making the world a better place isn’t by telling someone to be happy for one day and dropping the subject from there: essentially what your original thread has stated minus the fact that you’re probably going to edit it now since I pointed out your flaw.

No person should chose to act one day and leave the other 364 of a year up to potluck: that’s not living, that’s called existing.

I never have bad days. If anyone comes up to me in the hallway at my HS asking for a dollar or spare change to use the vending machine, I’ll give them the money unconditionally as long as I don’t need it for aything immediately. When I say bye to a stranger, I don’t say “have a great day.” I say “enjoy the REST of your day.”

Edit: Wow, they really tanked these forums with this update. I guess we can’t post links now, so I had to improvise. Just type those in a link format and have a look.

Aggressively has a fantastic day out of pure spite

I do not believe you understood this challenge completely. The challenge does not end. It renews itself from one day to the next. Perhaps I should reword it. If you don’t think I’ve played any other game than overwatch, or been on another forum, you do not know me at all. Yes positivity is nothing original, but just because it isn’t original doesn’t mean that it isn’t necessary. There was no place in your original post where you ruined my day, I did react poorly and I apologize, I simply did not want you to ruin everyone else’s day. I do let people do as they wish. They have no obligation to accept my challenge, they do so on their own free will. Some may not accept it because like you they do not need it, other might not accept it because they don’t want to. Yes, the world will not be made a better place by telling someone to be happy for a day, but it is a start. Thank you for pointing out that flaw though. I do agree with you, no one should be happy one day and just exist the rest. I am glad that you always have a good day though, that is necessary for so many people. I shall adjust my challenge so it is more “correct” perse. Thank you friend.
