Probably nothing but you probably got an algorithmic handicap match…

along with a side of satana clause and the tooth fary
This one wasn’t so bad. But every time my endorcement goes up to lvl 4 i get nothing but these matches… when i drop back down to 3 i’ll get normal matches with some of those matches that i still win most of the time…
Some games it needs more than 1 teammate to carry in order to win.
FEAR NOT “Kornysmilez”, I AM HERE TO SAVE THE DAY.
To start, your harmony and discord placements are completely random. For harmony, you should prioritize putting it on more squishy characters like tracer, genji, echo, etc. You have an ana, so your tanks will not be short of heals. For discord, you should be leaving it on one target as long as possible so your team can follow up. This obviously works better if you communicate your orbs, but that is up to you. If you are playing a spam comp, you can get away with leaving it on an orisa or rein and spraying them down instantly. If you have more of a dive team, do your best to get a discord on one of their supports. Even if you yourself cannot shoot your discorded target, leave it for your flankers or any other damage that can do the job instead.
Into your pre-fight, you should basically be looking to only throw in fully charged 5 orbs through main. You are just spamming and doing minimal damage. 5 orbs will concentrate your shots and accuracy so you aren’t just spraying and praying. Spraying down main also forces you to peak the entire time, leading to potential picks from a widow or other dps bursts. You can also just get lucky and 5 orb a squishy for a free kill, something that will never happen with your random spray. When targets get closer, or you need to land that last shot, then you should start using your primary.
Into your actual gameplay, you are quite slow to react to things around you. Not really sure how to fix that other than playing the game more. Your first tranq is pretty bad. They are down monkey and dva just got demeched. Even if the genji was able to kill whoever he was dashing for, you don’t commit the tranq. With tranq you should scout their win cons, like nano blade, grav drag. If they don’t have a clear win con, use it reactively. You will get the feel when to tranq reactively as you play more. Your last “sin” on that tranq was not discording anybody before using it. Ideally, you discord an important target and have your entire team run on them. This won’t happen in low elo, but regardless you need to have your discord out before you tranq.
Your positioning is extremely poor when the fight breaks down. You will cap out your rank very hard when you are that easy to punish. As your team died around you, instead of backing up and playing safe, you just stayed main and died. Your mechanics are not good enough for you to go for hero plays, so do your best to stay alive and get a potential regroup. Second tranq was basically the same as the first. Bad positioning is also why died to dva bomb at 3:30. The golden rule for if your positioning is good or bad is natural cover. You were out in the open with no cover, so you got punished. Instead, you could have stood further back around the corner or even better inside of the castle.
Next life you just run onto point for some reason. Another rule for support positioning, taking highground is more often than not the correct call. So just sit on the top of castle throwing 5 orbs, discording and harmonying. That is infinitely more value than the troll that you should have gotten instantly punished for anyway.
All of this is from the first 5 minutes of the game. It is quite fair to assume that you could have done a lot more to win this game. Learn to acknowledge your mistakes and take fault for your losses and you should have a much better time climbing. GL MISTER “Kornysmilez”!!!
Thank you soo so much. This is what i actually needed. I honestly didn’t/don’t know who to discord amd harmony. That helps a bunch. I’m still fairly new to zen and your info is going to help me out a lot on everything you stated. I really appreciate the info. And yes putting harmony on tanks in fight is useless lol. Thanks for the tip on the siscords and burst. That’s good help me out a lot.
Now that you acknowledged this critique, drop the “I carried so hard” mentality. Then you can learn
Again. This won’t be the case as that isn’t a thing.
Please stop telling people that. You’re feeding them false information.
The simple answer, without watching, is you probably didn’t carry as hard as you thought. If you carried at all.
it’s not a mentality… you can say that in a less dick manner… -.- its the truth of that match…
No sensible player agrees with you on that
as zen 12k dmg 13k healing?
I’d have to watch the game for context, stats don’t mean much without it.
But from those numbers, healing more than damage would be something that I’d check on if I watch the game back.
If this is the eichenwalde game that you also made another post about I already summed it up pretty much perfectly. Now it makes mo sense as it seems you are trying too hard to carry and just making really bad plays.
The first thing I notice is on first point defense you are randomly walking closer to the enemy team leaving cover, its a pointless action as if for example later how you die you are out of cover for that short second you can just get shot at and you have to run back to cover. The most important thing about playing any support character is cover as it’s how you don’t die especially on zen where he has no abilities to protect himself.
2nd Trace wasn’t needed small mistake,
Death on the second point to dva bomb again, if you were on high ground or near the cover you wouldn’t have died to it. Also getting really close to the enemy, you have a no-fall-off projectile. No need to be so close! Less deaths = more value. Also high ground is a requirement, the only people that could contest you are like a dva that flies into you. You get more value up there because 1 cover is due to geometry and 2 you have more ability to spam. Like yeah, you get kills but you are also using trance because you are hugging the enemy so close that you end up wasting trance again because you are about to die. In Higher ranked games you will never be able to get away with that.
3rd death, this is a case of getting so focused on getting a kill you leave cover and end up having to run back to cover causing you to die. Not worth. You don’t need to be so close to the enemy team, you can sit in the back and just launch orbs and do the exact same thing without the risk of dying. Because you are front lining so much you are even forgetting orbs on people, just stay behind your team and you would do it out of habit.
Ok, ill just rap it up here because it seems to be a lot of the same problems on repeat that are very blatant, obvious, and bad.
Big things, you have a problem where sometimes you get so focused on trying to kill someone you zone out and end up dying. By leaving position, cover and start to the frontline. You also when firing orbs slowly walk towards them for some reason.
You try and go for crazy plays by again front lining into the whole enemy team to get picks, yeah its gonna sometimes work but you just put yourself into a mechanics duel where if I get this pick it’s cool but if I don’t we lose the fight and even if you get the pick at best you are trading on defense which is worse. You do this, especially on the third point where you just randomly walk to the moria on the payload and lose the duel and the fight.
Zens is a character that all you have to do is sit in the back place orbs on people maybe call discords to your team and spam at people. You did this first point then just stopped doing it the rest of the defense and wanted to start going for crazy plays. You don’t need to go for crazy plays to win.
If you sit in the back of your team you can see everyone and the enemy team place orbs accordingly, you know everything that’s happening and you know when to trance. I feel this would also help with your wasting of trance a lot. If they are playing dive with a tracer and such I wouldn’t play zen but then you would sit with your team or someone that could help you. These are basic things I won’t throw a crap ton of stuff on you but these are the biggest one where I guarantee they will help a lot.
Do you know that matches are algorithmically handicapped to make you carry?
Yes you are 100% correct on all of that… I get bored sitting in the back… I now see the big improvements on doing so and staying in cover… i die less and i actually know when i need to trans lol
Somehow he feeds enemies more ult charge

They are not.
Cultbert is spreading misinformation.
Yep, sensationalist and misleading at best.
