Not sure how to describe what I’m feeling but I’m going to try anyway.
Even with the bigger hitboxes, I still can’t hit a single shot. My accuracy is usually around the 40%. Mind you, I’m low rank on DPS, diamond 1. Is it a skill issue? Probably.
But I’m a tank main, and I just feel like a punching bag. I’m also not high rank on tank, I’m masters 5. And I know you can’t play as aggressively anymore but it just doesn’t feel as fun. And I’m getting blamed for each and every loss, is it justified? Probably.
But even with the hitbox and projectile speed changes, I still can’t hit a shot. Skill issue.
Same here, my aim has always been awful and somehow I feel even worse after the patch lol
Although, I am still new to PC and hoping it will click eventually, cause my Console aim is decent
With hanzo, widow & zen for example, I find it really hard to hit shots. I don’t know what it is. But to me, the hitboxes don’t seem any bigger. When I shoot at enemies, I trace like a perfect outline of the character.
Mate i am now hitting over 70% acc wth mccree up from around 50%. This patch is so bad that its laughable. And i really cant believe you when you are the only one to complain about missing shots. Its a joke
I don’t know if it’s allowed to share replay codes on these forums, but I’ve got a widow game in my replays in which I just can’t hit any shots. Might be a bit of proof, but I’m really having trouble hitting headshots.
What’s your setup? First off, OW2’s engine has more input lag than OW1. It’s always bothered me.
Do you play with vsync on? What’s your fps? Vsync is going to riddle you with input lag, and even more so if you play on a 60hz monitor.
Do you play windowed? Also bad. At diamond and masters you’re still in the top percentages of Overwatch players so it seems odd you find it hard to hit anything. But it wouldn’t be odd at all if you were dealing with massive input lag.
Unfortunate, I was hoping that would be an easy fix for you. Do you use gsync? And this seems like a dumb question, but are you sure you’re playing at 165 hz (or I’m figuring you have a 165 hz monitor if you capped your fps to 165). I’ve known a lot of people that didn’t realize they were still playing at 60hz because there’s a windows setting where you have to change the refresh rate.
If you want to check on Windows 10, right click your desktop go to “display settings” and scroll down to “advanced display settings”. Go down to “refresh rate” and make sure it’s at 165hz
yeah it’s set to and capped at 165. but I’m thinking it might be a mental issue too. I see everyone in videos and on the forums talking about how easier it is to hit shots now. And I’m just here trying to hit the broad side of a barn. Just now I played against an ashe who didn’t miss a single shot, and there’s me as hanzo trying to hit atleast a single headshot.
So I’m thinking it probably has something to do with my mental aswell.
There are so many things you could try, but maybe it’s a connection issue. Have you ever gone into your network adapter’s settings and tweaked any of that? Assuming you aren’t using wifi, if you go to your ethernet adapter, right click and click properties. You can try unchecking “QoS packet scheduler” and see if that helps.
In that same box, there’s a Configure button. Click that and go to Advanced tab. In tehre should be a setting called “interrupt moderation” and “flow control” - you can try disabling those as well and see if you notice your shots are hitting better. Older hardware is known to have issues with all of those implementations.
