I can't do anything because of my banned accountOverwatch

I am writing this post with a heavy heart as my Overwatch account (@cobejeffery) has been inexplicably suspended by Blizzard Entertainment. As a dedicated player for over 8 years, I have always adhered to the game’s rules and regulations, maintaining a clean and fair play environment.

I have never indulged in any malicious or inappropriate behavior, nor have I ever violated any of the game’s policies. My account has always been used solely by me and has never been shared or lent to anyone else. It holds a significant sentimental value to me, as it boasts multiple seasonal mythic and crossover skins, which are a testament to my dedication and love for the game.

Unfortunately, I was shocked to discover that my account has been suspended without any prior warning or explanation. This has caused significant inconvenience to me, especially as I am an active participant in community tournaments and a commentator. Having my account suspended has effectively barred me from participating in these events, which are not only important to me but also to the Overwatch community.

I sincerely request Blizzard Entertainment to review my case and reinstate my account. I assure you that I have always been a responsible and respectful player, and I have no intention of indulging in any activities that would violate the game’s policies.

I understand that account suspensions are necessary to maintain the integrity of the game, but I believe that my case is an exception. I hope that Blizzard Entertainment will consider my appeal and restore my account to its rightful owner.

Thank you for taking the time to read my post. I appreciate your understanding and support.

Best regards,
@cobejeffery

There’s a whole lot of forum posts lately about total suspensions for longtime players. What is even happening?

The sad part is that the worst players in the game (cheaters, smurfs, toxic players) are completely unaffected by this because they simply create new accounts and keep causing problems. A player in this game for years and years deserves an actual discussion for all the business it has brought to this game.

Seems like all of them played from China. My current working theory was blizzard finally decided to nix the accounts instead of letting them play via VPNs.

yep, the rights and interests of ordinary players like us have been violated, and our accounts have been banned by Blizzard, while those who truly commit offenses and disrupt the game environment and community order remain at large.

I mean I have been using a vpn lately cause weird stuff happens when I dont… again cheaters might be finally getting snuffed out due to player retention declining. One can only hope!

Actually,We need no vpn ,we could play in asian server, but blizzard banned us ,they take off our right to play

Weird, well try to talk to blizzard. Just becareful with friends who might be using hacks cause if you are enabling them you will get tagged as well which sucks but blizzard holds the rights since its an online game.

Been like that since the days of Yore in WOW.

Please use this.

I’ve tried, but it’s an AI-based oversight system that doesn’t allow us to submit our appeals. Our accounts have been built up over years of hard work and dedication, and I hope to draw the attention of the forum administrators to help us resolve this issue.

They really don’t care about us here.

We’ve been dismissed as overly negative and a small population.

Pretty much all that’s happening here is we now have a bunch of “I got banned help!” topics flooding the forums and the mods will likely not be even looking at this for another 10-15 hours.

Funny joke

At most, they silence/delete threads that are “off topic” or trolling.

They do nothing else.

如果您被禁,请使用以下页面向开发人员报告,而不是在论坛上多次发帖。
在本论坛发帖根本无济于事。

Here I did the translation for you.

There does seem to be less moderation around this time. Maybe because it’s past mid-night in US and mods are human and need sleep? I’m only fully awake rn becaues I live in Australia, so it’s only 3:00pm here.

Ah, this also explains why I’m seeing so many “my account got banned” threads right now. Usually these types of post tends to get taken down because talking about account ban on the forum is not permitted.

Generally they check out for the whole weekend, which is why friday night sees some of the craziest trolling, cause they know that’s the way to keep it around the longest.

That being said, other than posting “announcements” we haven’t had interaction for literal months.

People get appealed all the time. I had to make a new account though. The fact you can just make a new account doesn’t really make sense why they’d have such a strict ban policy. Suspensions should increase in duration after each offence. Only perma ban if hacking.

Unfortunately you’ll need to appeal this even if it’s a temp suspension because they can lead to perma bans.

I know people that constantly get away with being extremely toxic as well so this game’s system is just borked somehow.

This is actually happening since OW2 release. Now it just came to a power of ridiculous.

You know it weird.

People think they can act one way, then get punished, then continue acting in such a way that they negatively affect other parts of our gaming community.

You should know what you did wrong and should reflect instead of throwing a tantrum.

People play this game. Not just you.

This is anti-human system

Sure. But it’s more ingress to a human than spamming the forums.

EDIT: excuse me… more ingress to a human who is involved in the ban system.
