The Bnet app, some of Blizzard’s websites (general blizzard support page/download page) and even the games do not work at all. I had the app on my pc but I could not connect. My net is fine and everything runs perfectly except for the app and blizzard related sites. The update was stuck at 0% and I could not connect on the app. I tried to re-install the app but then I noticed that I could not connect to the website either, the only forum I am able to visit is the Overwatch one. I tried to send the installer file from another PC but that did not work as it does not connect and thus I am unable to install it anyway. I have tried everything from restart of PC and router to DNS and IP changes. Any idea how to fix this problem?
Please try running a WinMTR and post the results here:
WinMTR instructions:
- Download WinMTR from http://winmtr.net/download-winmtr/ (Console players need a Windows Desktop Computer connected to the same network as their console to do this.)
- Unzip the WinMTR.zip file to the Desktop.
- Open the WinMTR folder and select the 32 or 64 bit version. Choose whichever one corresponds to your version of Windows.
- Run the WinMTR.exe
- Type the IP address you want to trace in the “Host” field. Since logging onto any Battle.net website will not work, I need to you type in the following IP address into the host field: 24.105.29.40
- Run the test for about five minutes then click on “Stop”.
- Click on “Copy text to clipboard”, then return to this forum thread.
- Type two sets of four squiggly lines and then paste the contents of the WinMTR test between:

I am sure this issue may have been solved. If it is any help to anyone, I had a similar issue. After doing all of the recommended actions from Blizzard/BNet, nothing would work. Just trying literally everything possible and discovered that there is a glitch within the app. If you switch the server, at the initial login splash, it allowed me to continue and re-install Warzone. I have not yet switched the server back, once the download is complete I will reach back out.
I hope this helps as I spent countless hours editing within my machine come to find out it was the desktop application that was holding it up.
Hey there, this topic is over two years old. Please don’t necrobump topics as it is very likely the original poster had their issue resolved.
While I understand this, I had serious trouble locating information myself and I was brought to this page a few times. Also, It was never stated the issue was ever resolved by user or TS and obviously continues to be an issue.
So I figured any help could be greatly appreciated by someone who is struggling because I know Blizzard team is really helpful but are usually pretty busy. I also was not paying attention to the year. My apologies, I guess.
