It’s simple, really.
Imagine you are going to play a game of baseball.
Now imagine that the pitcher complained incessantly that it was too hard for him to throw strikes on people.
So now, the bats are cut to half length.
Next, an extremely popular player complains incessantly that running bases is not fun. So they are given a little go-kart to drive around.
Lastly, the outfielder is mad because they never get to do anything and don’t feel important anymore, because the short bats mean nothing ever makes it to the outfield. So they are given a mitt that’s 10 feet across to catch all the balls that never come their way.
This would not be baseball anymore. It would be a farce.
The same thing, has happened to Overwatch.
Half the roster is hamstrung, basically because people they fairly countered and outplayed “felt bad” while a few other individuals have been given virtual super powers to ‘compensate’ for the power vacuum that was introduced and that just makes more imbalance.
That’s why the game is not fun to play. Half the characters have been crippled. A few are allowed to run wild and others were never good to start with.
It’s a complete reversal from when the devs said their intent was for everyone to “feel powerful and OP”.
They’ve violated their own design principles, pretty much on the behest of crybabies, and that’s why the game as become a cesspool.

You wanna know what makes me rage in this game. It’s the unbalanced matchmaking, I want to play with and against players that are at my skill level and not play with and against GMs and masters

I’m a broken record but again Re-posting from another topic because its applicable to what we are all feeling. We really just need more tools to build teams in this team biased game! it is beyond me that the only tools that we are given in game to make a team is the friends list , and meeting people via the match maker which makes dating on craigslist look safe / legit in comparison. We need some sort of guild/clan or at least a damn meeting lobby system. We need something to allow team building in game not externally 95% of players do not check the forums to build a team. Please this is an amazing game in so many ways. It’s just ridiculous that teamplay is so important, and looks like so much fun in OWL, but the game has nothing to allow that type of behavior to flourish naturally in game without the aid of external sites and programs. Please stop beating around the bush with this whole “Toxicity nonsense” The RNG nature of the matchmaker, and lack of social tools is what breeds these negative encounters.
Imaging playing baseball but it’s your own teammates telling you that you’re a fa* and that you need to go back to Africa or Mexico cause Trump said so. And then the coach(Jeff) Tells you that you have to get along with those teammates anyways, but that one guy you run into always fumbles the ball on purpose and lets himself be taken out to piss you off. Causing you to lose the game no matter how hard you try. Oh, and he won’t ever get banned from playing, cause next season he’s back on your team again to make sure you lose some more games.

Yeah, balance truely has become this game’s Achilles heel. I love the character design and the map design and the general concept, but the dev team for this game has put on an absolute @#$%show balancing.
I felt so bad today. I was playing competitive and suddenly my TV stopped working and i could’t see the screen( PS4 player). After a while I disconnected/timed out. I felt so bad - my team had to play with one person less. I wanted to rejoin the game but the game already ended and my team lost. It’s my first time that something like this happens to me and I honestly feel bad.
Also I had a game with two throwers and after the first round they left the game , then the rest of my team left and I was left alone sitting in the spawn room with the enemy team - who does things like that? I would never leave a teammate behind.
Ah people using metaphors to illustrate reality and then accepting those metaphors as factual evidence as to why their opinion is right.

Horrible RNG Matchmaking is pretty rage inducing, especially when you’re in a group of solo queues against a group with a 4-6 man group.
Also favor the shooter can be rage inducing, especially against people with a high ping. Watching fade go off on my screen, but I died cause the guy with a high ping hit me and not showing I faded on his.
no, the game and it’s balance passes are not the main reason for nerd rage in game. You might get a random call out of bs for a random hook or scatter but that’s about it.
the bulk of problems are 100% community based.
People don’t have decent hero pools, don’t make decent team comps or work with others all that well. Now that we are about two years into the game there are more smurf accounts, more one tricks on those smurfs and way more cruddy team work/team comps.
Game is still a ton of fun if you get a decent group slugging away at each other with hero picks and counter picks etc.
Yes match making could be a little better but it’s not the match makers fault when teams have junk team comps that can’t get anything done.
