I can see why Jeff rarely posted here

Since the stream came out today, numerous posts have been made about 5v5 and 1 tank and both sides of the arguments have been flagged by you, the community. These posts didn’t break the rules they merely stated their opinion, but like children you flag them because you disagreed with them.
Before the stream these forums were just a non-stop post parade of how McCree is solely preventing you from reaching Top 500 (Just like Ashe before McCree and Widowmaker before Ashe – see the trend here). Honestly, Reddit users may not be the brightest light bulbs, but at least they seem to enjoy the game for what it is by showing off their cool artwork, highlights, cosplays, and memes. What do we got here? A bunch of arm-chair developers who belittle the devs, posts about how the game is dying, and the same band of people crying about how their main is trash when they are mostly fine. Gee, I wonder why the devs interact so little on the forums; let alone when Jeff was still here.

A game company must be prepared for criticism

Eh, who cares. I’ve said my piece and will live with it. These forums have been absolute garbage lately and it seems like no one is addressing it (I’m not 100% certain I’ve been visiting the forums less and less lately).

To this level? no. It’s not constructive either, so double no.

Is there an acceptable level, I think many companies go through this with most of their projects, but if they truly cannot stand to hear from players they can always shut down the forum permanently and ignore social media completely.

Since they abandoned it, yes, they should. The forums are a toxicicity blender.

Either that or stricter moderation and make the community well aware of the new rules.

ok and you’re making this thread because you disagree with them and are sitting here flaming them, it makes you equally as bad as them imo.

I would say the game breed toxicity based on its competitive nature. The only games I know with low levels of toxicity are PVE games or plain solo games.

Lol. I knew someone would reach for that low hanging fruit. If one cannot address issues about a community then how can that community learn from their mistakes if no one tells them. Anyway, this will be my last post, people like you can’t seem to understand how sometimes someone’s gotta talk about the elephant in the room even if they’re blunt (Like I was) about it. So long, partner!

Bah, if Jeff and had posted something that upset you, you would ask for his head. If he had agreed with your criticism he would have been seen as “weak” by his superiors and either fired or demoted. So he did the most sensible: left you guessed. And it worked: 19 years enduring Blizzard and our crap and left as a Hero.
His colleagues just go to the same path.

Well the whole thread could have been worded a lot different and not been an attack against the whole forum, instead of just the specific people you were targetting…

You literally blamed the whole forums for what 1 group of people did, and I’m sure on reddit there are tons of people for/against 5v5 too.

I’m looking at you SYM mains.

This, precisely is why I prefer Reddit.

People can criticize but I’m not sure why people make it personal and say things they wouldn’t say to a person’s face.

And I can bet the people doing so have trouble finishing their homework, let alone a manage a multi-disciplinary tech project adapting to the needs of a global playerbase in the millions.

I can assume these people have never worked on a substantial project because these comments reek of childish entitlement and little life experience.

people on here say that reddit is inferior but lately ive been thinking its the other way around

At least reddit has morals

Maybe he would have posted more here if an algorithm picked highlight plays and art posts to fill the feed instead of our posts like on other sites.

This forum ain’t perfect, it was better months/years ago, but it’s not ALL bad.

Also, he posted here enough, we didn’t expect him to post frequently but he did take the time to fill us in on what was happening.

The devs might stay quiet but they’re aware of this forum. “We read everything.” -Devs, probably.

To be fair, the majority of us are handicapped when it comes to being able to share anything like that here due to the moronic trust level system. These forums just aren’t built for that type of thing as much as it really should be.

I only reported 1 because the person literally broke the forums CoC in their rage post.
