Seriously I cant be the only person thinking this, they have some seriously BS levels of healing out put now and the simple fact that they are able to just be heal bots and never die right now is freakin crazy, and before someone is over here like " tank main crying" or dps crying " nah I’m a support main, I literally was boxed into a freakin cage fight with a Mauga after being slammed at half health. I SHOULD have been dead and the only reason I wasn’t, wasn’t because of a emergency support ult or my team killing him, I LITERALLY SURVIVED A CAGE FIGHT SOLO MAUGA WHO HIT ALL HIS SHOTS, from simply my lifeweaver just heal botting me, im sorry but this is BS we need to tune down supports WAY DOWN especially if we are over here already tuning the brand new tank down, no I’m sorry I won’t be hearing how supports are fine now after the last nerf, no they are not, healing is still over tuned, and to put it frankly we need nerfs.

This is just the short list, and doesn’t include things like the Sombra rework, Hog Rework, or Mauga’s introduction.
Healing and damage have constantly been adjusted in relation to each other. It’s led to a lot of powercreep and a lot of healcreep. At this point, if you lower healing and don’t also lower damage, you’re just asking for everyone to start complaining that damage is too high.
But I’m sure constant powercreep is healthy for the game, “kiddo”, and that all we need to do is nerf healing, “cotton”.
I’M sorry but… LW can only heal you if he is in the cage with you and you want to tell me that the Mauga didn’t shoot the support that is known to be one of the supports with the most healing?

DMG is not fine, if a tank with 500+ HP can be blown up in 1-2 seconds.
And too bad for you, that the devs said that they are looking at both burst healing AND burst damage.
I think both healing and dmg need to be toned down tbh.
I hate the sustain given from support but I also hate the constant damage tanks receive since they are the ones taking the beating, this is why healing hasn’t been nerfed significantly, it is necessary to keep the tanks alive. This in turn makes it so squishes have this absurd sustain that makes them un-killable while tanks can be on the other end of this spectrum getting obliterated and needing their supports to double pocket them in certain situations, especially if they are off tanks w no shield.
If you don’t nerf the damage, then I think toning healing down could work if you just increase the % of healing tanks receive by just a bit. This would make it so any squishies who take duels would actually be able to confirm kills but also make it so that supports wont be having to double pocket tanks majority of the fight.
Potentially even look at shifting certain/all supports to percentage based critical healing! A lesser version of Mercy’s beam a few seasons ago that healed X amount when allies were critical health, but only for tanks who are critical and not DPS/Support, the % healing increase would be MUCH much lower mind you but this isn’t something that wouldn’t be worth a shot to try

there is no way a Mauga hitting all of his shots on you did not kill you with a LW pocket unless there was possibly a ToL to use as cover and heals.
LW blossom is 50 hps
Mauga is 72 to 87 dps while ulting where he does not even have to reload
I don’t possible see how you face tanking every Mauga bullet could be outhealed by Healing Blossom…

I’m not disagreeing with you, but if characters like hanzo are a “must pick because of one shot capability & high damage output with all the broken supports out right now”, then does that not automatically make him EGREGIOUSLY broken when they do eventually get nerfed?
We all know that blizzard is incapable of balancing well. They constantly nerf or buff things in a vacuum without ever considering the knock on effects.
When most dps can 2 tap an enemy in one way or another, it’s no freaking wonder the healing values are so high.
Like can literally anyone give me a reasonable argument for why soldier got any buff at all? When we’ve proven time and time and time again that buffing his damage makes him broken. He’s one of the most reliable dps to get value from and they made it even easier for no God damn reason.

Most tanks currently blow up in a literal second when a single mistake is made even with this broken healing output.
Sure, if Supports get buffed in other ways and overall damage gets reduced too, why not.
Right now damage and healing are both too high. They have stated they will be looking at both burst heals and dps. This is because right now you are forced to heal to offset the damage and it isn’t fun for anyone. If you aren’t healing for even a second sometimes the tank dies even from full hp. That shows a issue with both sides and tanks will be happier if they don’t just get deleted if the supports are bad and not healing them. While supports will be happier because they can focus on a damage/utility more and less just pumping healing into a bad tank. DPS will stay unhappy because that is what they do.
