I am tired of Widowmaker

It’s such a hassle to even play versus a Widowmaker.

Basically, you rely in her MISSING to ACTUALLY counter play her.

Why give a character the power to counter 80% of the roster with just one click

I get she needs a lot of skill to play, but that doesn’t justify giving her that much power!

Note: never asked for a nerf

She’s a sniper she’s supposed to be powerful if you’ve mastered her.

She doesn’t have to miss

You can also evade~

Or you can do something called don’t play in her sight lines

Sure widow gives huge space for her team but you can avoid dying until someone on your team chases her

JUST CLICK ON HER HEAD LOOOOOOOOOOOL 4Head

I don’t really get this statement.
I think Widow’s fine, but like… the overwhelming majority of maps require you to fight in sniper sight lines. I wouldn’t really use this as an example of counter play because you’re eventually going to have to attack, preferably with your team. You can’t sit on your hands forever and hope she dies.

I mean, if it just widow then you just “hello there” her with winston in most of games i have, i dont play at pro lvl but it looks like tank with barrier shield might be usefull to make her swich. Or good genji, who wait with deflect for widow shoot

One word: Sombra. Hunting Widows as Sombra is some of the best fun I’ve lately had in this game.

Also, half of the tanks dump on her, Mei can outsnipe her if you’re not playing at GM+ level and of course the classic Genji headshot deflect (seriously, playing as Widow into a Genji I rather use the unscoped rifle).

Generally, I’ve only found Widow a problem if the person playing her is either smurfing or just ended up in a much lower skill bracket than he’s supposed to be in for some reason.

My aim so too trash to kill widow before she kill me…

She can’t shoot though shields, can’t shoot things out of her sight-line, can’t shoot what she can’t see, sure as hell can’t do much when she’s being dived on except hope her 8 sec escape works.

You don’t have to rely on her having bad aim, you can make her forcefully have bad aim if you ADAD crouch.

That is of course, assuming you absolutely refuse to not play in her sights unprotected or pick up one of her numerous counters.

Refusing to learn how to play against her is not a justifiable reason for a nerf. She is quite balanced.

Well, if anything you’d expect the matchmaking to put people together with similar skill, including aim :man_shrugging:.

Btw, you don’t have to kill her as Sombra, if you manage to make her paranoid enough without dying yourself, you’ve already succeeded in my book.

There are no other so bad people like me in my rank
And game from time to time like to put me agains higher rank in ranked too for some reason.
And i play most of time dps heroes in ffa… there is nothing making match fair i think XD

You make it that way.

False.

Exaggeration.

True.

She doesn’t have any more power than others. She has a niche and set role like any other DPS.

You’re plat, which means you’re slightly above average, so don’t be so hard on yourself . But yeah, the matchmaking is pretty bs for the last couple of months (or year?), in any mode.

Welp, i know how bad i play and how bad my aim is
(got days when hitting afk players was to much for me to do)

Just go sombra and spam crouch on her corpse till she switches? She’s not genji you know she actually has proper counters.

Majority of widows are bad, those of us who have over 100 hours are decent… but if we stop practicing then we suck as well. Always have to practice… she actually takes skill to play… she is not like Ashe, McCree, or Soldier who’s ULT is autokill and requires no aim.

Your tanks have to attack not the healers

Healers can heal from an angle except for Moira which counters her sight lines

Majority of players simply don’t care about widow or where she is and cries when they die to her
