this season I wanted to go back my original main. bastion. After all the seasons of flexing, playing Mercy, Dva, Zena, Rein or even Sym in a Season I decided that I want to put fun in my first place again. But I am not allowed to do that.
Played out of my 10 placements 7 Bastion… lost 6… and won one because they have a a chance! This one game they even called me pretty good and where glad to have me. The other 6 games they throwed, insulted and spamm reported me for everything. I know that Bastion is not the best character but I have a lot of playtime with him and know how to use him! Even in attack! So please… dont report me the first time I die on attack because 3 people attacked me from behind a corner. Dont insult me while you jump off a cliv…
Last two games:
Insulted me so hard ( 3 people) that I decided to leave the game
2 leaver and a guy repoting me for everything… just one guy that gave me a chance…
Try to win like I do. Try to be cooperetive. When we work together, some characters can do wonder… please… let me play my favorite hero in comp. I am good with him. Give me a chance. I will change when I get countered to much but not after the first death and then you decide to not care anymore…
I know Comp is liked by many people but from what is stated by comp players I am glad I have stayed away from that steaming pile of code since season one.
Honestly, the best way to play Bastion is flanker/solo style (on most maps). Be set up in unpredictable spots and mow over people who are caught off guard. It can carry games even if your team doesn’t want anything to do with you
Chibi is a Bastion specialist like myself. I never had the chance to go one on one but there will be that day and honestly it will be the omnic crisis all over again. but the way you describe how to play bastion is exactly how i play bastion to the letter.
You act as though the game wasn’t already ruined by the 3 players who decided to be rude since they disagreed with OPs hero pic instead of accepting it’s ops choice and working with them
People throwing because they tilt over hero picks is a real problem (I always feel like I’m babysitting obnoxious children that rage at everything, and just last week I had to try to calm down people when one player was being told to kill themselves before the match even began just because they picked Sombra…).
That said, if you’re leaving games you’re ruining games for the people on your team who aren’t toxic, so that’s not cool either.
Why dont you try using lfg tool? Put the title sym/bast cheese comp and Im sure you will get the team willing to work together with you in no time since stylosa just put out a video about this strat.
I really do not understand this mentality. If you play non meta hero and that is all you want to play, you have to understand most of the people will not be willing to work with you. Sorry but that is just how it is. There is nothing that you or Blizzard can do about it.
They gave you a tool to avoid toxicity if you play a niche character that nobody wants on their team(and this will always be the mob mentality no matter how much they balance the game people wil aways want to have same composition as pro players even when they arent capable to play it like them)
So is it not better for you to wait 5 mins to get people would love to play with you and have a less toxic match than you queing randomly and put that stress you want to avoid on 5 other people that have decided they dont want your character in the game?
It not about working with me. Its about giving me a chance and still try to win. Thats the thing. Yes I enjoyed the round when they said nothing and just played and the second half they said that I should continue to play Bastion.
I understand that. I think I will be suspendet in a few games. Then its over for me. I just dont want the people to falsely report heroes because they are not popular.
Bastion is rarely a good pick, and it forces the team to play around you, while a different hero could do just as much/more without requiring the team to pocket him from every direction.
You want to play a niche character everywhere, but people don’t like that.
Add some toxic dudes that are everywhere, and boom, you have your situation.
You don’t want to get reported, but there’s nothing that Blizz can do about that, so they came up with LFG as a solution, and you just don’t want to use it.
