Kinda just a rant but people really are toxic and expect healers to be healbots and nothing else. It was a game on Ilios, we stomped them 2-0 no contest, even to the point of spawncamping. I had medals for elims and damage, and bronze healing as Lucio. I love playing that reddit lucio in qp, it’s just fun and if we lose its no biggie, because it’s quick play. As soon as the match ended our soldier yelled at me for having bronze when he had silver healing even though I spent much of the match spawncamping their tanks and healers at their spawn. We won, we stomped them even, I don’t know why he was mad. W/e though, guess I’m just supposed to be a healbot and not have fun in this game so soldier players feel good.

Don’t listen to them, lucio is a support, not a healer.
Even in competitive, his main value comes from speed boost, his ult, and finishing off kills. (And of course boops depending on the map)

It was qp and soldier had silver since I was focused on self sustain while I was SPAWN CAMPING THEIR HEALERS AND TANKS, our other healer was Ana I think or Moira and they did a great job keeping the team healed so I was free to do whatever. Yeah it was clearly an issue since we stomped them 2-0 and they didn’t cap point once my bad I guess???

That’s all people want in this game. Healbots that burst heal any mistake back to full HP. People rage so hard when they see Zen and just want Ana/Moira all game because it fills their HP right back up once they make a mistake.
They don’t want any utility in their healers, they just want a robot that follows them around and sprays them with healing nonstop.

You picked a support and you didn’t do the job of a support so I’d say you were rightfully yelled at. Not only did you not heal but according to you, you weren’t speed boosting anybody besides your self either.

A support’s job isn’t to just heal.
Yeah! We need a healer that only does damage boost and maybe even CC purification or shielding protective dome.

If you want to spawn camp people, pick a dps. You pick a support and you are willingly signing up to be the enabler, not the guy who goes on rambo missions. This guy wasn’t healing, wasn’t speed boosting, wasn’t peeling, he was playing reddit lucio, that is unfair to the rest of the team. No sympathy from me, I’m a support main and I would have hated it, if this guy dumped the entire teams sustain on me and went off to do who knows what.

While I agree the context means you aren’t wrong, the game in 222 makes the soldier also not wrong as supports not healing is considered reportable now .
Stop trying to strawman this stupid argument. You don’t want a Rein that doesn’t shield, you don’t want a hog that doesn’t hook, you don’t want a dps that doesn’t frag and you don’t want a support that doesn’t support properly. This guy was not doing the job he willingly qued for, he deserved to get yelled at. We are in the era of 2/2/2 role lock, you literally pick what you want to do and you Q up to do it and when you get into a game people expect you to do it as well as you expect people who Qd for other roles to do their job. A soldier should in no instance no matter what have more healing than a support.

It’s not reportable it’s just bad gameplay. The reason we have 2/2/2 which I didn’t even want is so that people sign up and do their roles properly instead of being forced in random roles they could not pull off. The guy waited in Q for 10 minutes to play a dps and got a support that willingly signed up to be a support but did not give him the support necessary. He ruined his game, if he wanted to kill and spawn camp people he should of picked a role upon which his teams sustain doesn’t depend on.
If them playing differently wins us the game, then yes, I do want that.
He didn’t queue to be a healbot. One of lucio’s most important tasks is finishing off kills, and 1v1ing people if you know you’re going to win.
Again, would you tell a zen to go queue for DPS if he’s fragging?

In no instance should your team get spawncamped either, but apparently that happened too. You may feel passionately about this subject for some reason, but this complete outlier of a match - a match they WON - is a really stupid thing to argue over.
The OP’s team won outright against wood-tier competition and a teammate was so toxic that they thought it was a good time to complain about heals even though he was playing a DPS that can heal.

I know you won the match but for a lucio to only have bronze heal besides a soldier having silver you have to really only have healed yourself lol
It is so easy for lucio to have gold heal. Even though you won you werent doing your job. Also if you won it is because the other team was terrible. I would not want you to be my support let me tell you that.
