and he still is one of the worst heroes to choose in ranked play outside of OWL because you just lose way more often than win with his kit, his crappy ult and his atrocious range

Lol cassidy is a free kill for d.va imo. Easy to bait flash bang and huge hitbox. Unless you play at potato ranks you shouldnt have too many problems with him.

I donā€™t think thatā€™s the case unfortunately. In GM heā€™s the 2nd highest picked dps in the game and has a WR that shows that he is indeed winning more then he is losing. And Cass shouldnā€™t have good range with 225. No other DPS hero with 225+ really has consistent poke expect bastion but wellā€¦ thatā€™s bastion. He is the worst hero in the game and without heā€™d somehow be worse then he already is. Iā€™d be all for giving him his range back If the 225 wasnā€™t there.

Thats because he is popular and generalist which doesnā€™t say much about him but more about other dps being less popular and niche.
And despite being picked more he is still worse than Ashe, Hanzo, Soldier, Genji, Echo

For once, these weeks. After 3 and a half years where his weekly and monthly winrate stats were at 45%-49% when every other hero had at least 53% winrates lol

he doesnā€™t, his range is a complete joke if you actually play him

heā€™s saying that if you want better range, your 225 hp has got to go. you cant have 225 hp, roll mid-air, 50% range, & flash + fth + roll + fth + ult cancel + fth. decrease his HP to 200, buff his range from 30 to 40% & nerf his absurd combo(s) then we all gucci.

Unfortunately thatā€™s just not the case, statistically that claim makes 0 sense. People in high elo are going to play what they believe is the strongest and will give them the best chance of winning. They are competitive and want to climb through the ranked ladder. They will play/pick whatever hero they think will win them the game In the current meta.

I know plenty of high level tank players that wanna play Winston or Zarya but canā€™t because theyā€™re not good this meta.

I know plenty of high level dps players that wanna play Genji. But force themselves onto Tracer or Echo because heā€™s not good this meta.

If you give high level MMA fighters the ability to fight with their choice of either brass knuckles with spikes or with soft plushies. Theyā€™re going to choose the spiked brass knuckles. People are good to pick what they know will give them the advantage, and players who are competitive and want to win in high elo consistently think Cass has a strong kit and will help them climb. And by looking at both stats and the t500 leaderboard it appears they are correct in those sentiments.

The Mccree hate is still going strong after 1.5 years.

All Iā€™m saying is I donā€™t trust this forum communityā€™s complaints as far as I could throw it, which isnā€™t far because I love my PC too much. All we see is ā€œi hate xyz characterā€ ā€œwhat character ruins the game for youā€ ā€œplease removeā€ ā€œwho would you deleteā€.

Iā€™m not saying some of these donā€™t need adjustments, but the hyperbolized hate threads donā€™t help generate reasonable opinionsā€¦ just affirmation posts, and no matter what there will always be a target that persists.

While this is true at this point itā€™s understandable. After debating the issue for over a year a lot of people just seem done with it and have lost all faith in the devs ability to balance the game. So now weā€™re just getting trolly posts.
