Hi, I’m currently playing the competitive open que game mode in the arcade and am ranked 3485 (Xbox) and I have played a total of 59 games. I believe I’ve got all the criteria for being in the top 500 leaderboard with the lowest sr being around 3000 but I’m still not put on the leaderboards. Is this a known issue that you may be able to help with?
Yeah me too pal , I’m 3608 and I’m not placed either
Have you played 50 games too?
Yes mate I’ve played 73 and won 52
you have to play 50 games in your region i think like 50 NA games if your NA like that but i dont know
That very well could be the case , but if that’s so it very annoying that I’m getting even games on america servers because if we think about it even a win will not do anything good for me as it doesn’t count to the leaderboards.
I’m also noticing the unranked-ness Xbox (on an alt account). 3508 with 51 games (or 59 depending on where you look)
Weirdly, if I check Profile -> Statistics, I have played 59 games. If I check View Leaderboard -> Compare Friends checkbox, I’ve played 51.
I had assumed that games with leavers somehow didn’t factor into the 50 games for Top 500 ranking. I’m not sure now.
Played 53 games on EU, should be top 100, not appearing on the leaderboard, phone is linked.
Had 3 dcs earlier so I guess I need to play one more.
Edit: 54 games played, still not in T500.
I have been seeing a lot of reports but there has been inconsistent variables among all of the different players. That being said please remember the following:
- You must be at least Diamond Rank to qualify.
- You must complete 50 matches in an Arcade Competitive Mode
- You must not leave any games. This includes any disconnections or crashes. Otherwise the count must start over again.
- For PC players only, you must have the Blizzard Phone Notification (formerly known as SMS protect) enabled. If not, enable them and complete 50 more games.
Console Platforms are their own global regions so this would not be applicable.
If on console, phone verification is not technically required.
Leaving games (including disconnections) does disqualify you from Top 500, and you will need to complete 50 games without leaving any matches.
How is that fair tho? If the game disconnects or the server kicks us out how are we supposed to compensate that? So we now have to restart the 50 everytime. What a joke
All good, I had to quit and launch OW again to appear on the leaderboard after playing 54 games (on PC).
Thanks for the clear criteria, it must of been the disconnect rule resetting the 50 games. I got t500 this evening after playing some more games. I think the rule is a bit harsh but at least I know now for future. Thanks again!
Thank you for following back up with me, this helps me make sure that my information stays correct.
Does this apply to existing top 500 players? You DC once and need to complete another 50 matches?
Yer I’d be interested in this too
As far as I know yes. This is something I will probably never have direct experience (hard stuck plat brat for life) with so I have to do rely on information that players provide and any information that I get from Blizzard.
