Humidity effects my aim

Incredible,
My aim felt slightly sluggish.

Then it occurred to me...

The humidity in this room feels a bit uncomfortable.
The humidity may have effected my mouse pad.
I had to raise my sensitivity to compensate for the added drag.

Aim may have a function with the relative humidity in a room.

Oh it absolutely does. Consistency across humidity levels is one of the biggest things that we crazy people on r/mousepadreview look for.

How is it crazy?
That is a physics thing.

Exactly

Not the pads being consistent, I mean the people. I for one, use a glass cutting board that I hand sanded. Others have multiple $80 pads lying around their house. And some low sens people swear by their 500mm x 500mm square pads.

If it isn’t obvious by now…I have a fabric mouse pad.

I like the fabric mouse pad.
It fits my finger tip brake style for the high sensitivity I am using.

I rarely go out and a few days ago I was diagnosed with vitamin D deficiency (my doctor said it was the lowest he ever seen in a blood result lol) I began the medication yesterday where I have to take 2 capsules of these weird oil things, then a vitamin D tablet.

Anyway, I believe this could be the reason my performance in games and concentration has been non-existent, hoping in the coming weeks these will help me… but who knows :joy: maybe it’s a different reason all together.

I was just complaining to my friends about this a few hours ago
It feels so weird but thank goodness for Air conditioning. I feel it helps with the mousepad issues since it sucks out the humidity in the room.

Not everyone has the luxury still these days (especially regionally) but you should keep rooms with electronics under air conditioning to remove extreme heat and humidity, or you will suffer more than just your aim.

Cloth mouse pads are garbage. They soak all your sweat into themselves.

Any flat surface (preferably not reflective, depending on the mouse) will do a better job.

Maybe don’t get so sweaty – or wash your mousepad once in a while – large cloth mouse pads are preferred for many who are recognized for their aim. Bad advice.

I was too lazy to get a mousepad and just used my crappy desk for a long time. Needless to say, weathered fake wood doesn’t make for the best dpi accuracy.

Some people just get naturally sweaty hands. It’s not really something you can just decide to not do. It’s not a result of “being a sweaty tryhard” or anything.

The, “don’t get so sweaty” was a snarky comment, I admit.

Was just saying that that:

Was bad advice in general.

Yep Benq Zowie GSR-Large was prone to it when I lived on east coast & rocked those pads for years. Moved to west coast and with dry heat it went away. But you can get pads that arent gunna be swampy in humidity, but if you live in humid area and your room is humid 1 pad to stay away from regardless how goated it is is the gsr from benq.

I bought a ton of pink/blue divina gsr-se’s before they discontinued them for life now; theyre really resistent to the humidity/swampy feel due to their coating but yep this is actually a thing that affects aim big time.

Take a look at addice website for the esports tiger pad lineup, alot of them are resistent to the humid climate and their customer service is top notch and they are gamers themselves they can probably take your pad you have, find you one that you wont know isnt your pad (same feel) and it just wont be subject to humidity as bad.

Don’t get sweaty isn’t something that you have control over (especially when holding the mouse for some time). Just being in touch with the cloth causes it to absorb your moist even if you don’t feel like your are sweating.

Lol, casuals without personal air conditioned gaming humidors

Make sure you wash your pad from time to time. Moisture better sticks to dirty surfaces. Don’t do hard wash, but soft with your fingers, to not spoil the surface, cause if will become fluffy and moisture loves it too.

Drowsiness effects my aim and my performance. Some days are just lazy and those days I am tired and that’s usually when my aim gives up on me.

Lol, suuuuure bro… (I have my doubts that heat effects aim, unless you’ve hit the point of heat stroke, which by then throw your mouse down and get to a hospital)
