in heroes of the storm junkrat has the line “These bombs aren’t cheap, you know. They cost an arm and a leg! (laughs) I’m joking. They only cost me a leg”
now of course heroes of the storm isn’t canon, but jeff said in a interview about the junkers that “here’s a guy who blew his leg off and thinks it’s the funniest thing ever” and he didn’t mention his arm. so it seems that its heavily implied that he didn’t blow off his arm. do how do you think he did it? what do you think happened to his arm?
The possibilities are endless, really. He’s been exposed to radiation and, seeing by the state of his nails (no, that’s not black nail polish), he has radiation poisoning. Radiation poisoning greatly hinders the body’s ability to heal, so any injury left untreated could have resulted in a necessary amputation.
Could have lost it in a bear trap of his. Could have just not been born with it. Or he could have lost it in a fight at junkertown. Seems like he gets into fights or trouble often there.
Did you not read the post? I literally posted the reason why junkrat might of not blown off his arm. its literally the first sentence. did you just read the title and not the post itself
i doubt roadhog would rip junkrat’s arm off. i know they had a very rocky relationship at the start, but they like eachother now (matching sprays with them fist bumping and high fiving emotes) also junkrat is already missing his arm in wasted land, where him and roadhog first meet, so he had to lose him arm before then.
i think junkrat and roadhog’s relationship is quite interesting. because most people only pay attention to roadhog being mean to junkrat, but junkrat has also been mean to roadhog (calling him heifer, blaming him for getting kicked out of junkertown) while also being quite defense of him (getting mad when cops call him fat) and they also do seem to enjoy their heists together (hog has a line in kings row where he reminiscences on stealing the crown jewels, and in "reflections’ roadhog is clearly enjoying himself)
The most interesting thing is these 2 interactions
the first is one where junkrat says “You hook 'em, I’ll cook 'em” and roadhog says “…Shut up.”
the second is similar except Roadhog says “i’ll hook em!” and Junkrat says “I’ll Cook em!” the same line that Roadhog told junkrat to shut up about.
so either they’re relationship improved overtime, or they have a very love-hate relationship.
Tbh, i can kind of see them having a genuine “love-hate” relationship, whereas Roady has an “Image” to uphold, and doesn’t often show any softness, Junk obviously shows when he’s standing up for the guy, and not even wanting to see his feelings hurt, let alone the man himself.
And on the other side of the coin, when Roady does show his soft side, he obviously doesn’t want junk getting himself hurt either, and probably doesn’t want much harm caused in any way.
im glad you feel the same way! roadhog’s bio mentions how "mako rutledge is dead and roadhog was born " but i like to think that roadhog still has a bit of mako down in his heart, that he just needs a partner to show off his soft side.
