shift for invisibility that is temporary, 12 second cooldown for hack, hack lasts 5 seconds, translocator that you can put across the map and teleport back whenever. minute long hacked health packs, ect.
would it be balanced in the current game or would it be worse?
I hated the translocator.
Everything else was fine but the futile effort of even shooting towards the sombra.
They’d be back within 5 seconds on full health and there we go again.
These days you can actually kill the sombra, or she takes closer to 10 or more seconds to come back to the fight.
I also wish I had the old Sombra, but that’s not going to happen because of the tanks. Ball and Doomfist tanks would be useless against Sombra again.
Back in the day sombra pressed a button and was half the map away. These days sombra presses a button and you can see where she’s going so you can shoot her.
She needs a lot more than a quick fix could do. Reverting her to the initial ow2 version and starting on a new rework from scratch with play testing done to figure out how she feels to play and play against is about the only real way forward.
Perhaps it would be an interesting idea to make her not completely invisible. Maybe when you look through her, the background should be slightly blurred. Difficult to recognize, but visible
i was just curious on what everyone would think on this hypothetical question.
i made a post about sombra before and everyone says currently shes unfun and annoying to play against. (i disagree, i don’t think its that hard to kill sombra) and i was curious if the community found her original state would be fair enough for modern ow2
in my ideal fantasy land she would be a cool white hat hacker support hero with some random healing ability and all that jazz but unfortunately dreams do not come true.
but to keep it on topic, i think she needs footstep audio when shes cloaked. not loud enough where everyone in the world can hear it through gameplay battles, but just enough volume where you can hear it if there’s silence. (example, where ana’s usually stand in the back or widows)
idk, you know how she has that field where if you’re too close to someone you get detected? something something like that but her footsteps gets louder? idk im just throwing ideas in a ball park.
gives them more of a chance to fight back y’know?
