Every game is a 1 vs 5 with this matchmaking.
I’m finding more and more players just don’t want to pay attention to pings, or are deliberately avoiding them.
Don’t 1v1 a tank, just run to your team or to cover. If the Tank is still following way out, at least you’re distracting away from your team, and their enemy tank is that dumb.
It should… but there’s so many players that have bloodlust in their eyes, that just keep pursuing.
I’ve played Roadhog and prior to the passive healing buff given to all heroes, I could kill targets pursuing me just by using Pig Pen and running away. Idiots still pursue.

If both dps are on you. You are dead. Sorry.
I do this in comp. Ill pull a tank to force them to peel and help me. Pull and ping.

Ping is thing.
Also capcom makes really good games, but that aside you do have a lot of tools to either escape/bait/punish/ or get your team to notice. Can’t tell you how many dive attempts turn into a mei ult or being set up for a rien pin by my tank.
