How to Solve the Leaver Issue

Now this solution might not be perfect, but it is an idea. Feel free to provide constructive criticism to my idea. Don’t just say, “bad. wrong. won’t work.” Offer critism that is constructive.

Okay. Here’s my idea:

  • have two queue systems: one for normal comp and one for ‘filler’ comp
  • another comp queue menu where you can queue and fill for people that left their current match
  • ex. Team has leaver. You can use the filler queue and be matched in a game that is already going on
  • you can loose no sr from leaver queue, and can’t gain any either
  • but you can get comp points for winning the game
  • this encourages people to join the leaver queue option for comp points without damaging sr, while solving the leaver problem
  • also abusing the system by trolling will result in a filler comp suspension indefinitely. Meaning you can’t join filler queue again
  • this prevents trolls and solves leaver queue problem

If you have any advice or critism, please post below. This may not be the best idea but it is an idea.

I would 100% queue for this with loot box as the reward.

Id also accept role queue in this set up. Group with leaver chooses role most needed. Spot is filled with someone willing to do that role. Its literally the only scenario role select would be relevant or acceptable.

Im 100% behind the idea of voluntary backfill.

One thing ive seen people say about this “Do they just fill any rank into any rank? i see issues here” Answer: no of course not you only backfill into ranks you would normally queue into.

“What if there is no one available in the correct rank to fill a game?” I dont have an answer here. Maybe one of the hundreds of people that put thought into this can think of a couple.
