Step 2: In two years time abandon said IP in life support mode, quoting “development of PVE sequel” as the reason.

Step 3: Watch the formerly successful new IP slowly fade over the course of the next four years due to lack of meaningful content and updates.

Step 4: In an attempt to give the IP an emergency short burst of life, delete it from existence while replacing it with a slightly modified version. Slap “2” at the end of its name. Reaffirm the promise that PVE is coming.

Step 5: Employ aggressive monetisation practices as a way to secure the cash flow you allowed to previously dry out as a consequence of years of inaction.

Step 6: Kill PVE.

Step 7: Profit?
