How to save money for charity?

Eating out where I live costs $12-17. By going to the grocery instead I can save money for charity by Pink Mercy’s release on June 25.

How are you planning to save for charity? What can you cut or sacrifice from your expenses- Pack of cigarettes? Pulling on gacha games?

donating to charities is just a cheap way for companies to line their pockets for tax write-offs

I believe only filthy rich people should donate.

You can start by not spending money in the Blizzard cash shop.

Walk to more places if you can, drink more water (these first two are just good in general), don’t turn your nose up to store brand foods just because they’re store brand, sign up for rewards programs at stores you frequent, consider playing those Steam Summer Sale games you picked up years ago instead of snap buying new games, check out Goodwill for clothes (not just for articles you’re just going to wear around the house, you could get lucky and find a nice polo or pair of slacks in your size), and a ton of other things I’m not going to list off because my time on this plane of existence is limited.

Don’t be a downer, the charities get your full donation regardless. The charity skins are incentives for people who want a neat skin and would be unlikely to donate without it. If anything, demonize the players who need incentives to donate.

I do not give money to Charities.

most charities are frauds or fronts for money laundering

the OP’s statement indicates that the charity will be BCRF, due to the intended purchase being stated as Pink Mercy

what evidence do you have that BCRF specifically is a “fraud” or “front for money laundering”?

That’s basically where we keep getting the crappy art from as its a way for getting tax cuts.

Often it’s mostly much normal people who donate it may not be big but it makes up in numbers.

Only time you have to be vary of charity donations is when it’s in the name of some person, like they will say for a cause and then the foundation will be run by them, in those cases just double check it’s a good foundation.

But ones like bcrf are doing good work.

I am just a hater of most charities in general

I think you’re right on this one, because my dad keeps telling me to do this, and I have 3 different non-water drinks on the fridge

with apologies, that does not address my question

I just dont like charities, like i said most charitites, not all, maybe they are genuine and actually care about breast cancer patients and arent rotten like most other charities

There will always be some corruption somewhere, I have personally experienced this as I had to do contract work for one of the organisations as big or bigger than bcrf and the corruption was done by one the main members who also gave me the contract, the thing is this person will seem so genuine when you meet them, he was so friendly to us, that he even came to marriage of my partner from his country not just alone, he even came with his young daughter and was dancing and stuff.

Like genuine nice family person.

Few years later we came to know that he was part of a huge corruption in that charity organisation.

It was genuinely shocking to us, but also showed how untrustworthy people are.

But here is the thing all said and done, the organisation still helped millions of people and that work and people helped were real.

So despite all corruption etc charity organisations still benefit people massively, they genuinely fill areas govt doesn’t focus properly and fill a certain gap.

in this topic, we know the specific charity involved - BCRF - from the very first post

is there something (to use your word) “rotten” about this charity?

if you can’t donate you can again in 6 years don’t worry. forum will be flooded with requests for both skins.
