Is that the new trends to call heroes braindead if you can’t win?
Personally playing echo is either do or don’t. You kinda need to aim to get value besides the typical spam your primary in the choke fight (which literally anyone can do).

Echo is one of the best DPS hero, even as a flex DPS player myself, I find myself playing Echo 90% of the time nowadays but she’s not a braindead easy character, quite the opposite actually.

I literally gave up on her because she was too hard lol. She’s not easy at all, if anything one of the hardest heroes in the game.

It took me forever to learn her and then hitscan just made my life too annoying so I dropped her just as I was getting decent with her. I know Pharah mains cry about that, but I would rather play Pharah into double hitscan than Echo into one hitscan.

Yeah for me pharah is just echo on training wheels, and I agree double hitscan is horrible for echo.

She’s one of the hardest DPS in the game
Even low GMs struggle to get high value on her and just go hanzo or hitscan instead
Her being OP can be debatable but shes definitely not easy

Guerrilla warfare. Stick and move, stick and move. Echo is incredibly fragile and gets the most value out of well-timed ambushes. Find her hiding spot while she’s on cooldown and she’s toast, same as Sombra and Pharah.

100% agree with this, you have to not only master 3 different types of aiming, you also have to do that while using flight efficiently and being able to play literally any character with ult (I can’t play at all with confirm dupe, so I find myself often mis-duping characters like Ana or Lucio instead of the Rein or etc I try to dupe)

I mean you have to land all of the projectiles for it to actually do enough damage for her to combo.
If you try to fan them out they don’t want really do enough for echo to combo into. Outside of that it’s like any other projectile, if not worse do to the delay being enough for zarya to eat up with her bubble.
Echo, of course, has the highest skill ceiling in the game just because of the nature of her ultimate that will likely always remain true for the duration of Overwatch so I struggle with the “braindead” aspect, but I am also really confused where the one shot mechanic is.
Do not get me wrong, Echo is one of the top 2 DPS in the game, and has been for something like 6 out of the past 7 seasons and this can be easily verified by looking at leaderboards, but she is not easy. In fact, the fact that she is so hard is the only reason she isn’t in most games because people who play Echo really well just hit different and the game is just different, but there are simply not many of them.
