How to kill lifeweaver

You can’t unless you have like 3 teammates on him or are hanzo that is a fact RN. Absolutely stupid self sustain and another example of Blizzard going overboard on buffs.

He is like number 5 on the list of problem supports and an issue lying in wait for when the more problematic supports are dealt with

You really just need a better lifeweaver tbh usually a dps lifeweaver will beat a healbot lifeweaver who just dances around and spams healing.

People have broken their fingers pointing out those problem supports, and most of us have reached the conclusion that they will never be dealt with. Let the Seiba vent… :face_exhaling:

Go Genji or Echo and dive him when he uses platform or go Doom, Winston, or D.va to focus him when he uses his dash or platform. (Pharah counters him too, not as good at Echo or Genji but she can put a lot of pressure on him since he can’t touch her at all)

He is very susceptible to flank and dive characters

I wont take an HP/shield nerf unless they look at his over sized hitbox.

I’ve been playing Lifeweaver since he cane out, so there’s no fingerpointing going on from me

In my experience he was always difficult to kill because of his escape potential. Now though he’s got effectively 275 health by default, activates his support passive on the dash, has a bonus shield health that can replenish on it’s own which heals him even faster if he was low, and has the additional 400hp platform to utilize until he gets another dash which is 50 more healing plus support passive.

He really is quite difficult to kill without a dedicated team effort. I don’t think they needed to buff both his base health and his dash healing, one or the other would have been fine if people were having trouble surviving.

Also the tree is kinda crazy and could probably use a longer ult charge if nothing else

Of course they will, but a good life weaver will abuse said sustain. They need to tone back one of the sustain buffs they gave him because it’s kind of ridiculous

No it’s not factual, it’s just your opinion.

Why do you want to kill Lifeweaver? He’s the most useless hero in the game right now.

I’m not gonna waste debating with the forums incredibly biased support mains who come up with the same excuse of “YoU JuSt WaNt SuPpOrTs To Be FrEe KiLlS” or “ItS a TeAm GaMe”.

At this point y’all want supports to be free kills even if they have low damage potential.

The only reason he has the extra shield HP and a dash buff is because of his hit hitbox being so easy to hit. They need to completely remake his character model to be smaller and then remove the shield HP. They could simply just make his back petals smaller to help as well.

He may be difficult to kill but he has rather long cooldowns if you manage to force him to use them with Genji or Echo. It doesn’t take an entire team to kill him, that is simply false.

I haven’t played in a month, but I have some doubt LW is suddenly this unkillable machine.

I flex both DPS and Support and no I don’t, I want the role to be balanced for the long term health of the game.

Lowest deaths out of any hero according to overbuff so no it’s not entirely false.

Seeing what you just wrote I can tell you wouldn’t have any valid arguments anyway so it’s fine if you skip a conversation you can’t handle, I didn’t even mention either supports being free kills or team game anyway :man_shrugging:

So I’m not the only one with this problem then? And I can’t just ignore him either because he makes everyone else I shoot have just as much sustain.

So that’s why he keeps healing so quickly somehow!!!

Before his rework I was able to kill him and now he is so annoying. Also, this is with dva one of the heroes people suggested to use as a counter. I have to fly towards him then wait for boost again and fly up to his flower then go to where he dashes kill through the health he regenerated… It’s quite difficult. If a support peels for him then just forget ever killing him. I end up just swapping to Zarya so that I can damage through the insane healing… But then he hard counters grav :smiling_face_with_tear: I feel like they buffed his self sustain too much because he can survive solo against a dive without help from the other support.

lol he’s the easiest support to kill bar maybe zenyatta and brig

Everything is hard to kill when your bad :frowning:

And blaming the game is much easier than blaming ones self and growing as a player from that

Lol at the forums not being able to grasp that the game plays much differently at higher ranks. Lifeweaver in upper ranks literally never dies, avoids most damage, heals a massive amount with ease, and nullifies teammates dying even through enemy ults. Classic OW trash players having one version of how the game plays.

LW is objectively the hardest support to kill reliably. At an average of 4.73 deaths per 10, he’s statistically the most survivable hero in Overwatch. For perspective, Mercy dies 21% more frequently than LW.

This was easily predictable, since he already had the second best survivability among squishies before they needlessly buffed it further. Pay attention to what’s happening in your matches. Check scoreboards and watch replays, and you’ll see a clear trend of him outliving all other heroes.

The reason why is because he has both horizontal and vertical mobility, with his horizontal escape also acting as a self-heal and his vertical escape also acting as a barrier, which in turn allows time for his role passive to be activated and his dash CD to come online so he can repeat his cycle of evasion. Breaking the petal isn’t a viable strat in a full team fight because it makes players vulnerable to the ground threats out of their LoS, and because it’s unlikely to result in LW’s death anyway.

This is a misconception. LW’s damage per 10 actually decreases with increasing rank while his healing increases, indicating that the optimal way to play LW is to focus more on heals. This makes sense, since he currently has the highest healing output per 10 in the game. Of course there are always exceptions, so do whatever works best for your matches.
