I’ve been playin since season 6 (took a break during seasons 8 and 9). My first mistake was doing my placements when I was on lvl 75. I’ve been stuck in 900 SR bronze ever since. I main supports due to my lack of good aim although I’ve been practicing it for a while now. I really enjoy Mercy, Moira and Symmetra. I used to play mostly Mercy back in seasons 6 and 7 because she was easy for me back then. Ever since I came back I only see my mistakes on her. I switched to Moira and I’ve been doing quite well due to my ability to stay alive very along while healing (I usually have up to 5 deaths per match). My main was always Symmetra but I always thought I lacked thw skill to play her in comp. Recently I’ve noticed that my Symmetra gameplay has gotten a lot better. I noticed that my winrate has increased by a lot on her so I started playing her in comp. I so far can tell that I have better turret and teleporter placment then most Symms in bronze. I’m one of the few that actually make sure all my turrets are deployed when possible and my teleporter up-time has greatly increased. Despite that I just can’t seem to climb. Lately I’ve been getting a ton of teams that just don’t stay on point or they go too far and die one by one. I’ve also been working on my positioning and ever since then heroes who usually punish bad positioning die at my hand. My movement is still quite linear and I’m working on that but I just keep getting wins followed by losses and I can’t rank up. What should I do?
Play Brigitte. Climb to GM in just a few games. GGEZ hero
Just be more aware of surroundings and learn better positioning. Those things alone can get you to gold ez. Also learn some hitscan and tank
You may not want to.
The higher you climb, the more toxic and less fun the game becomes.
Zen could be a good option. You don’t actually need a good aim to be effective with him in Bronze (I speak from experience), just discording people and shooting at tanks to gain ult charge quickly and popping Trance when Genji ults usually does the trick. Mercy and Moira aren’t a good combo, so picking Zen when someone has picked a main healer already works well.
Also, learn Rein. The team with Rein wins against a team without Rein the vast majority of the time, and even a bad Rein is much better than no Rein in bronze (Unless you use Orisa on defence).
A tip I don’t see often is to use a stat tracking website like overbuff. You can see what you’re good at and what needs improving. You can look at the stats of every bracket and set some goals for yourself to reach.
I recommend a streamer named Jayne, who is also the head coach for team Canada.
He does vod reviews, and those are a really good way to learn.
If you’re in bronze, other than aim, situational awareness and positioning is all you need to rank up.
No, don’t use those sites to gauge skill. It favors people who play their hero more often, and doesn’t take into account anything other than your stats.
Just like any data it shouldn’t be taken in isolation. But if you are a mercy main and your healing is in the 90th percentile that should give you a pretty good idea of what you’re doing wrong.
And yea it doesn’t really work for flex players but not all of us are. Most people main someone.
even if you’re a flex player it shows you where you can improve on each character that you play. If you look at the overall stats for your account, that won’t tell you anything, but overbuff can narrow your stats to each specific hero. Of course someone who one-tricks widow is going to be a better widow than someone who flexes, but if yout ake the stats with a grain of salt (i.e. if it tells me i’m in the top 25% of widows for eliminations, that tells me that I’m a good widow) then you can see where you can improve on that specific character.
No it doesn’t, it means nothing. People, for example, look at crit accuracy and scoped, which don’t matter.
As long as you get the key picks, you’re putting in work, no matter the accuracy. Overbuff doesn’t tell you that, again, there’s no reason to use it.
however pursuit is a good stat checker to use since it’s a match by match analasis not only of you but also your team and the enemy.
looking at stuff like this can be indeed helpful.

our d.va was out of position alot. and it made my job as 2ndary off tank/healer harder. but the great thing about the site is your being directly compared to the people in the match u were in.
Sometimes, believe it or not, you just need time! It seems to me that you’ve been playing for a while, but not a large amount of time. Honestly, it took me a good couple of months to actually develop some plat-worth game sense, so it could be you just need more experience. If I’m wrong, then I recommend watching pro streamers’ gameplay and see if you could pick up on some tips or tricks that they do that may help you in a future game.
Also I recommend learning one of the tanks. They’re ones that can really push the whole team together like rein… your dps will automatically stick to him for cover, making it easier to team push and prevent teammates that “go too far and die one by one”.
Also, do you communicate in voice chat? Being a healer main, you know that your team depends on you a lot. Being able to make important callouts can make or break a game! Just saying “both of your healers are down so play safe”, or even just saying “soldier don’t overextend” could help you win a game!
I prefer Visor.gg
I never heard of it until my friend told me, even the Seoul Dynasty use it. Basically you upload a vod and the thingy analyzes everything, EVERYTHING. Like ult management, teamwork, etc…

I used it on my alt when I was playing hog to test it out, sadly I got a game I played hella average in lol.
I looked at it again and the triangle is Impact/Ultimate/Teamplay
yeh but not everyone can record their gameplay without dropping a ton of frames. so it’s not always a good choice. Pursuit runs light. so I always recommend that for starters.
It’s 2018, I’m sure most people can squeeze 720p 30fps out of their system, anyways, this site is miles and leagues better, so dropping a few frames is arguably worth it.
Hell, if the Dynasty use it, it has to be good. Sadly I’m lazy so I’ve only used it once lol.
You belong in bronze. Play 6 stacks and pray.
not everyone has the money for a modern pc or console even if it’s just a base line.
I only average 20-25 fps without recording my games. I plan to build my own pc as soon as I can but not everybody can afford a gaming pc for sure.
I would say stick with Moira, but at Bronze level I imagine everyone tries to play a flank comp. not dive, but flank. Where everyone goes their own separate ways…
Moira’s best healing is when people stay relatively grouped. But Moira also can support DPS. There’s nothing more satisfying than making a gold weapon Genji switch because you keep him shut down.
If you get good enough at her, I would think at Bronze level you should be able to carry a lot of your teams. Just have to learn who she’s strong against, who she’s weak against, and when to use the different orbs. Also, if you’re not healing, just hold down your fire button in case someone comes into view.
